And O'Meara has also found out her home in Romford, England has been remortgaged for another GBP200,000 without her knowledge. A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "It's just a matter of time as to when her house will be repossessed. The bailiffs could turn up tomorrow. You just never know."

Former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens is emerging as one of the favourites to represent the UK at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki. Stevens, who has had mixed success with a solo career since S Club 7 disbanded, is hoping the British public will support her to be the voice and face of the United Kingdom at the 2007 contest.

She is said to be on the shortlist of artists approached to take part in this year’s Making Your Mind Up, where the UK’s entry will be selected by public phone vote. The list of performers will be officially announced on February 28. A BBC insider said: “We never comment on speculation. All will be revealed on Wednesday.”

It would be the best thing ever, the contest takes place in Finland! :D

Jo tried to kill herself
----- February 25th 2007

CELEBRITY Big Brother star Jo O'Meara has tried to kill herself, the News of the World can reveal. She tried to commit suicide last weekend but was saved when friends rushed her to hospital. The former S-Club 7 star is convinced that she has become a public hate figure over her bullying behaviour towards Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty. Yesterday Jo's mum Barbara, 60, told us that the suicide bid had been "a real shock." She added: "It's horrible. I've never seen her so bad in my whole life. "She is wasting away and is not eating. I speak to her and she tells me how she's still seeing helicopters coming out of mirrors and those sorts of things. "She's on Prozac now and it seems to have made a difference. The drug takes 14 days to work and I think it's helping her." Friends and family say she is a physical and mental wreck who suffers from hallucinations. Speaking from her Romford, Essex, bungalow, two miles from Jo's home, Barbara said: "She should never have gone into the Big Brother house in the first place " Friends say she only went because she needed cash to save her house. But she banked just £65,000, not enough to prevent the repossession of her home. Jo, branded a bully alongside Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd, cancelled a comeback gig in South Wales on Friday.

Shilpa wants to help Jo
----- February 15th 2007

Shilpa Shetty is flying back to the UK to save her 'Celebrity Big Brother' housemate Jo O'Meara. The former S Club 7 singer has confessed to feeling suicidal after being branded a racist due to her treatment of Shilpa on the reality show, and the Bollywood star wants to let her know she is forgiven.

Shilpa told Britain's Daily Star newspaper, "I would like to speak to Jo and make sure she is all right. I am very worried about her." "I know she is a good person and I hate to think of what she is going through. She doesn't have much self-confidence and I know she must be having a terrible time." "I just want to speak to her and tell her to try to be strong. I have no ill feeling towards her. My heart goes out to her."

The 31-year-old Big Brother winner has been in India visiting her sick father but is flying back to Britain today to help Jo. The 27-year-old singer, who has been prescribed anti-depressants, has become agoraphobic since leaving the Big Brother house and has not stepped foot outside her hotel room.

Jo is struggling to cope with becoming a public hate figure after she and friends Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd were accused of racist bullying against Shilpa during their time together on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.

Jo suffering from agoraphobia
----- February 13th 2007

The 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant - who is on suicide watch following her alleged racist bullying of fellow housemate Shilpa Shetty - has been in hiding since receiving death threats and is now said to be suffering from agoraphobia - a fear of open spaces.

One of Jo's closest friends revealed to Britain's Star magazine: "She's terrified of the public reaction to her and her safety. She keeps saying, 'Everyone hates me.' "She stays in her room all day, she doesn't go outside - she's too scared. There are some days when she doesn't even get dressed. "Our main priory at the moment is getting Jo back home."

Jo, 27, has also been prescribed stronger anti-depressants after reportedly having a breakdown. The former S Club 7 singer is said to be "fragile", forcing psychiatrists to increase her current medication dosage. The source added: "She's very fragile. She's having a breakdown. She's still very tearful and is shaking and rocking a lot.

"We're in contact with Jo's doctors on a daily basis. They felt they had no choice but to increase her pills. If it helps her get through the day a bit easier, then that's a good thing." To make matters worse, Jo has also reportedly stopped eating - sparking further health concerns.

It has been claimed a Big Brother psychiatrist told Jo he would never have let her go on the show if he had been allowed more than a ten-minute consultation with her.

Primeval - First look by The Stage
----- February 8th 2007

“I could do without standing in an some anaemic office in Whitehall talking to a Civil Service pen pusher, when I should be exploring the most significant phenomenon in the history of science.”

Well, yes, you should. It’s this statement from Professor Nick Cutter (Douglas Henshall) about halfway through the first episode of Primeval that highlights the major fault line running through what is otherwise a slick, exciting adventure series.

After 25 minutes running round the Forest of Dean chasing some impressive CGI dinosaurs, Cutter and his unlikely team find a porthole through time to Prehistoric Earth. Cool. Why the need to then drag Cutter and lizard expert Abby Maitland (ex S Clubber Hannah Spearritt) all the way to London and a 10-minute chunk with comedy Civil Servant Ben Miller comes as a mystery. Just get in there and do it, jump through the portal and give us all a thrill.

There’s just a bit too much standing around talking and not enough doing, with some bizarre script editing choices that fragment the narrative and our characters. Which is a shame, as when Primeval gets going, it’s knock out. Scary, exciting and quite dark, the kids are going to love this.

What about the adults? Different kettle of fish of there. The humour isn’t quite clever enough, and when it’s there, it’s forced. The best science-fiction needs that knowing wink from the lead, to let us all know that this can be scary and dramatic, but really, it’s all just a bit of knock about fun and we’re all in on the joke. Unfortunately, Cutter has been written as a stoic, quietly romantic character, abandoned by his wife through one of the sparkly time portals. It’s a noble quest he’s on to bring her back, but he’s a but dull with it. And that isn’t Henshall’s fault; it’s all in the writing.

The humour comes from Ben Miller’s clichéd government lackey James Lester, who you just know is going to be doing the same shtick week in, week out. And then there’s Connor Temple (Andrew-Lee Potts), a bit of a sci-fi geek who finds himself joining the team. He says things like: “If I don’t come back, you can have my Star Trek: The Next Generation Top Trumps cards.’ Ah, and that would be a slap in the face to a tent pole cult audience who will now be turning off as you’ve just taken the piss.

And then there’s that schoolboy error in the first five minutes. A woman runs through a supermarket car park, being chased by something that can throw cars round with ease, leading to a fantastic money shot of a big scary dinosaur roaring into camera. Well it would have been fantastic – if only we hadn’t seen a very dull, lumbering shot of the dinosaur walking across camera as if it were going to the shops within the first four seconds of the show. A textbook example of how to destroy the impact of your money shot.

But all this aside, there is a lot to like about Primeval. It’s slick, the CGI is stunning, the cast are all trying very, very hard to run with this - and for the most part, succeeding. Henshall, despite the humour deficiency, is a great actor and a strong lynchpin for an attractive team.

The test for Primeval will be in making sure the format doesn’t descend into a monster of the week show and writing around the time portal format with some imagination to keep the audience guessing.

Overall, I’m glad that ITV, former purveyors of tat like The Vanishing Man and the woeful, woeful The Outsiders is making a show like Primeval. This is a good, solid and overall successful stab at doing something new and exciting. And that needs to be applauded.

Hannah thanks Billie for role
----- February 5th 2007

Primeval's Hannah Spearritt has admitted that she has Billie Piper to thank for her role on the show. The former S Club 7 star believes that Piper's success on Doctor Who paved the way for other pop stars to make the transition from music to TV. Spearritt plays reptile expert Abby Maitland on the new ITV1 series and is seen fighting time-travelling dinosaurs.

"When I first got the script, I thought: 'I'm never going to get this. This is too cool and they're never going to want to cast me.' I felt really nervous going for the audition but I gave myself a good talking to and gave it my best shot," Hannah told the Daily Star Sunday.

"I really wanted to nail it but I was feeling very unlucky at the time and never once thought I'd get the part of Abby. I felt very privileged that I was asked. As a pop star-turned actress, Billie Piper really opened doors for things like this. I don't think I would have even got an audition had she not come along. I would love to emulate her success. So if people compare me to her then it's a compliment."

Jo wants BB to be axed
----- February 5th 2007

Celebrity Big Brother loser Jo O'Meara today said the "cruel" reality show should be axed by Channel 4. The former S-Club 7 singer has become a public hate figure after leaving the house, where she was accused of alleged racist bullying of eventual winner Shilpa Shetty. Speaking to Sky News, O'Meara broke down in tears as she once again denied being a racist.

She said her reception on leaving the house had been so bad she had even contemplated suicide, but admitted she was "too wimpish" to go through with it and thoughts of her family stopped her. Last week she issued a 900 word statement pleading for the public's understanding and claiming her life had been "totally shattered" by the Channel 4 show.

She told Sky News: "I feel if this is what a TV show does to people then it shouldn't be a TV show. "I have got to pick the pieces up or I will end up going mad - more mad than I am. "I don't think you can get much lower. "They say you have to hit rock bottom before you can build yourself up. I just hope I'm at the bottom now."

She described the week since the show ended as "horrendous" and was seeing a behavioural psychologist. At one point Jo broke down in tears as she talked about how the show and the publicity had affected her. She said: "I just think the whole thing has been so unfair and so cruel and that I've not been portrayed as the person I really am.

"I can't even go out. I've been locked in a room for a week." O'Meara described herself as a "massive" Big Brother fan but said no one has any idea what it will be like until they live it. She said she went on the show because it looked like fun and she was so short of cash she was in danger of losing her house.

Asked about the allegations of bullying, she said: "I'm not a racist person, I never ever have been. None of it makes sense, don't know how this has all happened. "I don't know why people keep saying I never liked Shilpa, I just didn't bond with her as much as I did with other people, but we got on fine.

"She's one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen and she's graceful and a true lady, but none of that ever seemed to get across in the right way or it was made to look like I was being horrible to her the whole time. "I would like to see her again, and just for us to sit down and talk and sort it out once and for all."

Bradley replaces Jo!
----- February 4th 2007

TWO Sheffield nightspots have cancelled a visit by former S Club singer Jo O'Meara after her controversial behaviour on Celebrity Big Brother. Corporation was due to host the blonde pop star at its Skool Disco night on February 21 and Sheffield University was to stage an appearance this Friday. But the Milton Street club today announced it had cancelled the visit just as Sheffield University Students' Union removed Jo from this year's end of exams celebration, The Big Night Out. Union officers decided it would be "inappropriate" for Jo to play and began negotiations to exit the contract with no financial penalty. During these negotiations Jo was prompted to cancel her immediate public appearances. Ironically she will be replaced at The Big Night Out by former S Club colleague Bradley McIntosh who joins East 17, Lee Ryan and Amanda Wilson.

About Seeing Double the movie: "When I watch it, its funny, but perhaps it should have been in that top ten ( the worst films of all time).
