Chapter 2: Somebody loves you

Paul remembered himself lugging the black garbage bag, one of the many leftovers from the many parties they used to hold. Except this time, the things in the bag weren’t just garbage, but 5 years worth of memories. He rationalised that if she could forget the 5 years they spent together in one night, he could do the same too. Cards she wrote to him, the photograph of them he kept in his wallet, the things they bought together, they were all in the bag, along with a couple more things.
He got himself a beer, returned to the bedroom and relaxed on the bed. As he placed the beer bottle down, his eyes spotted one of her old T-shirts in the corner of the open wardrobe.
Last night happened like a blur. When he came back home, he heard the sounds of Hannah throwing her clothes into her luggage.
