Four days to go people! Today’s content is the Primeval 5 Advance Screening booklet I got from Watch a year ago. It contains timeline of the previous episodes, behind the scenes information and cast interviews. Some bits can be spoilery so be careful.
ITV Press Centre has added a press pack of Series 5. It includes general overview of the Series, episode summaries (short, long and full) and creature information. A curiosity: the episodes are numbered 8, 9, 10 etc, like they’d continue straight after Series 4. You can download the pack here. If you haven’t seen Series 5, there are obviously major spoilers.
Six days till the Primeval Series 5 ITV premiere and it’s time to see how Primeval YOU are. Take the test and see if you’re Becker, Jess, Abby or Philip. How did you do? I got 11 points and that means I’m Jessica.
Primeval Series 5 will debut on ITV in exactly a week so let’s have our own countdown. Although this may not be as fancy as what Watch did a year go, it’ll be fun nevertheless. The first post has to do with the advance screening of Primeval 5 that was held in London in May 2011. As you may remember, I was invited there and had the best time of my life. I got to meet Hannah and Andrew and hear Becker say my name on a video.
I came accross these unseen HQ pictures of S Club’s photoshoot for the Sky Magazine back in 2001. For those who don’t know, you’ll find or Hannah, Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens and Tina Barrett in the pictures. Enjoy!
Handrew and Lucy Brown have just appeared at different comic cons and next ones up are Ciarán McMenamin and Ben Mansfield. The London Film and Comic Con will take place in July. Ciaran will appear on the 7th and Ben on the 8th. For more information, please visit their website. Many thanks to Arcadians!
A quick reminder about the Collectormania Milton Keynes, which will take place tomorrow. As you all probably know, Hannah and Andrew will both be there, I hope many of you are going. Here’s their website for more information. I’m not going to be there but in Rome, where I’ll spend the whole of June. Very excited, wish me luck.
Digital Spy has noticed that Primeval Series 5 will be shown on ITV starting June 16th. We obviously have posted about it earlier.
The fifth series of Primeval is to finally air on ITV1.
The sci-fi drama’s most recent run will premiere on June 16, producers Impossible Pictures have confirmed.
The show was renewed for two more series by ITV and digital channel Watch in 2009.
Under the joint agreement, ITV had first broadcast rights on Primeval’s fourth series, with Watch then being able to air the episodes at a later date.
Watch would then air the fifth series first – which it did between May and June 2011 – with ITV having second run rights.
The six latest episodes – starring Andrew-Lee Potts, Hannah Spearritt and Ciarán McMenamin – will now air on ITV1 over a year after their first digital broadcast.
The future of the original Primeval is currently unclear with no further episodes being commissioned since the 2009 revival. However, in May 2011, Potts (Connor) told Digital Spy that he and co-star Spearritt (Abby) were unsure of their future with the programme.
“Primeval deserves to carry on, and I hope it does,” he said. “As for mine and Hannah’s involvement in that, we’re not entirely sure.”
A new Primeval spinoff – subtitled New World – was officially announced in February 2012. The “older, darker and scarier” series has filmed in Vancouver and will be broadcast on Watch in late 2012.
It is currently unclear if ITV will transmit Primeval: New World.
