It’s in the middle of the day and the History class is exited to see who the new history teacher is. “I can’t wait to see who it is, I hope it’s a young pretty bloke” Rachel and Jo is full of excitement, they can hardly sit still. “Please Rachel, I bet it’s an old man who gives you a B if you spell one word wrong” Jo makes a funny face to Rachel and she starts to laugh. In that moment the classroom door opens and the principal comes in. “Good day class, let me introduce you to your new history teacher” in comes a short bloke with blonde hair. Pretty young. “This is Dr Jonathan Lee, he’s going to have this class this semester in school. Good luck Dr.Lee” The principal left the room.

“Hello class, let me introduce myself for you. I’m Dr Lee and I appreciate if you call me that. I’ve a master grade in history and I hope to teach each and every one of you some important stuff. But first I would like to give you permission to go home since this is the last subject today, and until next time I hope you all have written a two pages long essay about yourself” The class stood up and went out the classroom door.

“My God he was handsome, I’m defiantly getting a good grade in history this year” Jo had to look at the dashing Dr.Lee one more time before she closed the door. “Well, let’s see who gets him first then. He can’t be older than a 22 or something. That’s only 4 years difference from us. I hope he’s not married” Rachel smashed her bag on the floor as the two girls got home to their apartment. “Get him first? What do you mean Rach? You are much prettier than me, even in a school uniform. He’s all yours” Jo looked in the mirror. “Don’t be daft Jo, you are very pretty, you have killer blue eyes and a blending smile, and no man can resist you hunny. You even got bigger boobs than me” Rachel looked down at her boobs and grinned. “Grow please grow!”

“Morning Rach, it’s time to go to school, okay you have 20 minutes” Jo who’s already in her uniform tries to wake Rachel easily. “WHAT 20 MINUTES!! I’ve overslept again… I have to put on make-up now… Jo find my clothes please, why didn’t you wake me earlier?!” Rachel soon got herself in the bathroom, when she got out she sees Jo smiling. “What is it?” “Well apart from I got you up from bed pretty early, which is fun, we have 1 hour before the school bus leaves… I had to get you up somehow. Jo couldn’t stop laughing, and Rachel started to laugh to. “Well thanks Jo, well I did get a new record on getting ready on ten minutes, I’m proud and it’s all thanks to you sista!” They sat down to have breakfast when Rachel starts to tease Jo. “So Jo, are you happy that we have history with Dr.Lee today? He’s something in your street when it comes to guys isn’t he?” Rachel took a bite from her toast. “No he’s not, you can have him if you like him so much. I only think he was good looking” Jo looked down so Rachel wouldn’t see her blushing.

“Morning class, fist of all please take up your homework and hand them in. Today we’re going to talk about World War 2” Dr.Lee took a long check for empty seats in the classroom as he was taking in the class homework. He looked from the back row to the front row where he meets Jo’s eyes. Jo feels that the red colour in her face gets even redder and she looks down. Dr.Lee then looks at Rachel who’s blinking at him. He soon looks away and starts to babble about the WW2. Jo turns over to Rachel “Why did you blink to him?” She’s whispering so low that Rachel can’t hear her. “What? Can you speak up loader Jo?” Jo asked the same question again. “Well I didn’t blink to him, I just got something in my eye, and please Jo, go and get some fresh air, you are all red in your face”.

“What are you girls whispering about?” Dr.Lee stood in front of Jo’s desk and Jo looked at him. “Oh nothing Dr.Lee, I was just asking Rachel a question” Jo smiled and looked down before she met Dr.Lee’s eyes. “Oh a question, I thought I was your teacher, please raise your hand the next time you need an answer” He smiled and moved on.

“Well class, it’s over for today, you can all leave, except from Rachel, I need a word with you” The other in the classroom left and Rachel stayed with her desk. Jo waited outside, she saw trough the small classroom window. Dr.Lee came to Rachel’s desk and he sat down on it. Rachel who sat on her chair took a bit of her hair and twisted it between her fingers. “What is it Dr.Lee?” Rachel smiles and lend back on her chair. “Oh nothing, I was looking at your history grades yesterday and you’re doing very well. I’m just wondering if you want to do a individual project on WW2 so you can get an even higher grade?” He stood up and went to the blackboard. “Off course I can, anything for you” Rachel got up and headed for the door. “Bye!” She locked the door and she met Jo. “So, what happened?” Jo where standing at her locker, trying to get it open. “Well he only talked to me about my grades, I’m doing a project on WW2 to get an even better grade this year.” Rachel smashed Jo locker and it opened. “Oh, well I got an A+ so I can’t do any better” Jo said and got rid of some books from her bag. “Let’s go and eat, I’m hungry and I want to eat before I’m going back here for my singing lesson” Jo took her bag over her shoulders and dragged Rachel with her.

“I don’t know why you take singing lessons Jo, you have a beautiful voice” Rachel smiled at her friend “No I’m not a good singer, you are, but since you’re taking drama classes and are ms perfect in everything you are and do I want to do something special to” They stopped outside Cafè Blueberry, “Let’s eat here, I’m starving “ The girls went in and sat down with a window table. “I’ll have some fish and chips please, and a glass of water” “And I’ll have a Ceaser Salad and a glass of water” Rachel looked up from the menu and looked at Jo. “When does the singing lesson begin?” “Half past three, you’re going to drama right?” “Yes I’m, but not until half past five. So I’m going home to change my clothes first”. The food finally got on the table and the girls started to dig in.

“Gotta go now, see ya in a bit hun.” Jo gave her best friend a hug and went to school again. When she reached the school she saw Dr.Lee on his way to his car. He looked at her “Hi, did you forget something…” “Jo’s my name” “Yeah Jo, did you forget something?” “No I didn’t, I’m here for my singing lesson, are you on your way home to your wife now?” Jo now felt her knees where disappearing under her. Dr.Lee laughed “My wife… well I’m only 23 so I have my life in front of me, I’m married to my work for now, no time for a girlfriend. And I’m just getting something in my car and then I’m going back to the office. Wait for me please?” Dr.Lee opened the car. “Sure I’ll wait” Jo where in heaven, the most charming teacher ever asked her to wait.

”So you’re an A+ student in history, do you like that subject?” Dr.Lee looked at Jo. “Yes I do, I’ve always liked it, it’s interesting to hear about how the world where before my time. I don’t wanna sound like a nerd but I really like it.” Jo now stopped outside the school’s music room. “You don’t sound like a nerd, I like bright students, how old are you? 17?” “18 I’m 18” Jo interrupted him “Yeah 18, well you have a good lesson then. I’ll have to get back to my office” He left Jo and Jo went in to the singing lesson where Ms Hansen waited for her. Ms Hansen an old lady who has lived her life in all worlds’ musical theatre. “Hello Joanne, please start to warm up. Jo started to warm up her voice, but she could only think of Dr.Lee.

Chapter 2

The singing lesson went great and Jo went home. Finally she got the apartment for herself. “Well Jo I think you’re in love” Jo looked in the mirror and talked to herself, and then her mobile phone rang. “Hi it’s Rach, I’m on my way to drama lessons now just letting you know. I’ll call you when I’m on my way home” The girls had an agreement, if some of them had late lessons they always called each other before and after the lessons so they’ll knew that the other one where OK. “Ok thanks for calling. I’ll see you in an hour or so then.” Jo hung up and went to the living room and watched TV.

The door went up and in came Rachel, sunken wet. “I missed the bus and had to walk home, and you know my luck so it started to rain…” She took off her wet jumper and went in to the bathroom. Jo went in with her. “How was drama class?” “The drama class went good, I’m actually looking forward to the play we’re having. We’re going to play Grease!” Rachel turned from the mirror to Jo, “Lucky you then, I’ll bet you’ll get the Sandy part” Jo said with an admiring voice. “Well maybe, I’ll get happy just to be Rizzo or one of the others to” Jo loved Grease and she was a bit jealous that Rachel where going to play it in a school theatre.

“Jo! Are you with me here or are you just thinking about Dr.Lee” Rachel touched her lightly over her shoulder. “Oh, sorry I was in my own world. No I’m not thinking of Dr.Lee, well…” “Hah! You do, that’s why you are getting so lost” Rachel hugged her friend. “Jo-Jo hunny, I think that teacher made a huge impression on you. What are we going to do about that?” “I have no idea Ratz, I have no idea. I actually bombed in to him on my way to singing lesson today. He asked me to wait for him as he was getting something in his car, and we went in to the school together again” “No, you’re kidding right? Go for it girl!” Rachel had now changed her clothes and they’re heeding for the living room. “I’ve heard there is a student/teacher party on Saturday, maybe we should go” Rachel jumped down in the coach and turned on the TV.

”Go over and ask him!” Rachel pushed Jo as they where standing and waiting for the school bus they saw Dr.Lee going to his car. “No please don’t make me, Rachel you go” “How pathetic is that? We’re not in 1st grade anymore Jo, so GO!” Rachel pushed so hard that she just had to go so it wouldn’t get embarrassing. “Hi Dr.Lee I was wondering” “Yes ms Jo” Dr.Lee interrupted “I was wondering if you’re going to the student/teacher party tomorrow?” Jo wished there where a hole in the ground so she could sink down in. “Yes I’m, are you going then?” Dr.Lee smiled. “Yes I’m, well see you there then” Jo just looked at Dr.Lee’s smile and she couldn’t move. “Jo, The bus is here!” Rachel shouted for her. “Oh I gotta go, I’ll see you tomorrow then” As Jo where running for the bus she felt someone grab her arm and she stopped. “Sorry, but I don’t know where the address is, so if I give you a ride home you can show me where the party is going to be?” “Eh… Dr.Lee is driving me home Rach, I’ll see ya there!” Rachel showed two thumps up as she where getting on the bus. Dr.Lee didn’t see that and Jo where relived. She got in the car.

“To the left here with the bus stop” Jo pointed and Dr.Lee turned. “Here it’s” Dr.Lee stopped the car and they where in front of a huge house. “Wow, whose house is it?” Dr.Lee went out of the car and Jo right behind him. “Leeshia in 11th grade, the most popular girl in school. Are you impressed?” Jo stood right beside him, she wanted so bad to hold his hand but she didn’t dare to take it. “Impressed? No way, I mean the house is too big and Leeshia is nothing else thank an airhead. I’m as a teacher are not suppose to say things like this, but I trust you Jo and I feel that I can say this things to you. Come on I’ll drive you home” Dr.Lee opens the car door to Jo.

“Where about do you live then? Are your parents home?” Dr.Lee could hardly look at the road. He could only watch Jo. “My parents?!” Jo laughed, “I live in an apartment here in London with Rachel, I’m actually from Essex, but I didn’t wanted to go to school there. So then I came here for my 11th year and met Rachel. We became best friends and she moved out from her parent’s house and in to my apartment. I was lucky, ‘cos now I had someone to share my rent with. We’ve been friends for a year now.” Jo felt a strange feeling in her stomach. “Oh stop here” Dr.Lee stopped and he looked at Jo. “You’re a very nice girl Jo. I hope I didn’t embarrass you in front of your friends when I drove you.” “That’s Ok. I would have said no if I felt bad about it” Jo opens the car door, but before she got out Dr.Lee took her arm. “I’ll see ya tomorrow then my grade A student” He kissed her on the check.

“You’re late missy” When Jo came in Rachel did an imitation of Jo’s mum. “No where, just showing Dr.Lee where the party is going to be. “Aha, well well well, do I hear church bells?” Rachel cracked down in laughter. “Sorry Jo, I love you. I was wondering, wanna go shopping?” “Sure. I have to get something new for the party to. Can you help me?” Jo changed from her uniform to jeans and shirt. “Yes I can come on” The girls went to Harrods. Jo loved Harrods, there where so much cool clothes. She was happy to have Rachel as friend, for a girl with more fashion sense than her couldn’t be found in England. “This one” Rachel held up a nice light blue dress to Jo, it wasn’t to short, just right under her knees. “That’s nice” Jo looked at the price “and not to expensive. “Go and try it on then” Jo went in to the dressing room and Rachel stood right outside” “You look stunning Jo, if you let me do your hair you’d look like a princess” Jo felt proud and she liked the dress “I’ll take it, I like this one a lot, thanks Ratz you’re the best” “I know” Rachel said as she was heeding for a new shelf with dresses. “Take the pink one Rachel, the one that’s the same as me just in pink” Jo went to the shelf where Rachel had found her dress. “You’re a clever girl Jo, I like your dress so why not buy one in another colour, I didn’t think about that. But pink’s not my colour, I’ll take this yellow one” Rachel tried it on and she was happy “Well Jo we’re dressed like twins now and I like it”

“You look beautiful both of you, welcome to my party” As the girls arrived they met Leeshia by the door. “Thank you. There’s many people here” Rachel looked inside “yeah but it’s a big house you know, everyone from your year 12 class has arrived I think” Leeshia showed them in and the girls soon found someone from their class. They got lot’s of compliments for their dresses, Jo got the most ‘cos the class weren’t used to see her with her hair up. “Do you see him?” Rachel had taken some punch in to glasses and gave one to Jo. “No I haven’t” Jo where disappointed, she saw all the other teachers but not Dr.Lee. “I can see him, look down with the pool Jo” Jo smiled “Go down to him now, it would seem strange if you don’t I mean after all you asked if he was coming” “You’re my true friend Rachel, I really love you” Jo hugged her “Yeah and I love you to, but get down there or I smack you” Jo went down. As she reached the stairs she saw him and he saw her and went her way. “Wow, I don’t know what to say, you look different, a little more grown-up” Dr.Lee kissed her on her hand. “Thanks, you look very handsome, is it a new suit?” Jo couldn’t believe that she said it, but she didn’t regret it. “Yes it it’s I bought it yesterday, wanna go for a walk?” Dr.Lee gave Jo an arm and they went in to the garden. As she was going she took a fats look in Rachel’s direction, she was standing with one of the Drama boys, Jeremy and they seemed to have fun.

Chapter 3

“Dr.Lee, can I ask you a question?” Jo stopped “Sure you can, but tonight I’m not Dr.Lee, please call me Jon. And yeah you can ask me a question” He took both Jo’s hands. “Well it might sound kinda silly, but why did you choose me to go for a walk? I mean first of all there’s so many pretty girls here, and second I’m an 18 year-old student and you’re a teacher?” Now Jon held her hands a bit tighter. “Let me answer you like this: There’s many students and there are many teachers, you can’t help it if you fall in love, and it’s not a big age difference either. Second: I only see one beautiful girl here tonight, who’s beautiful and smart. The other girls are beautiful to but as I said before most of them are airheads or their taken. But I liked you from the moment I saw you Jo, and don’t argue with me when I say I think you like me to” “Yes I do, I really do” Jon kissed her and Jo felt warm. They sat down in the dry grass and kissed for a long time. Suddenly Jon moved one of Jo’s strops on her dress “Wait, someone can see us, and” She stopped “And what Jo?” “And I haven’t done this before, I hardly kissed a guy” She felt ashamed as she said it and was sure that now Jon would leave. “Do you want me Jo?” Jon held her “Yes, I want you” “Then what’s the problem, no one sees us here, everyone is in the house and if their going out they would never go as far in the garden as we are now. But if you don’t want to I can wait” Jon let Jo go “No please, I want this, I’m in love with you Jon” Jon kissed Jo again and said “I’m very much in love with you to”

Jo and Jo had a wonderful night; they made love for a long time when they heard someone coming. “Jo, where are you, isn’t it time to go home now?” It was Rachel, she’d been looking for Jo for a time now and so she was no heeding for their direction. “Shit, it’s Rachel, what shall we do?” Jo stood up and got her dress back on, Jon got his suit back on and he held Jo tenderly around her waist. “Here I’m Rachel” Rachel came and looked at Jo and Jon “Oh good evening Dr.Lee, what have you two been up to?” She could see Jo’s hair where a mess and that Dr.Lee (Jon’s) suit weren’t perfectly putted on. “Oh nothing, just talking” Jon looked at Jo and blinked “Aha, just talking I see, well if you don’t mind it’s kinda late now and I was wondering if I could borrow Jo to take me home. “Sure you can, go in front please, I just have something to say to her first. “I’ll see you on Monday” He kissed her and Jo went after Rachel.

“You slept with him in Leeshia’s garden didn’t you” Now Rachel and Jo where standing infront of the apartment door. They hadn’t said a word to each other in the taxi home. “Yes I did, it just seemed right” Jo took her hair behind her ears “Well girly, it seemed like you had a nice party night, I’m happy for you, it was about time that you got yourself a boyfriend and not study all the time”

Rachel sat down in the sofa “Jo come here please” Jo came and sat down beside her. “What is it?” “Well how was it? I mean was he good?” Rachel where anxious to hear about Jo’s colourful night. “Well.. ehmm.. I haven’t done it before I did it now so… but he was tender, it was nice. Really it was.” Jo blushed and she got a strong feeling inside. “Tender ha… well Jo, I think you got yourself a good lover yeah!” Rachel putted her feet on the table and tried to find a comfy position to sit in. “Well, you seemed to have fun you to. Jeremy from your drama class wasn’t bad.. “ Rachel got her feet down from the table and sat up. “Did you see us!?" Rachel shouted. “Well yeah, wasn’t I mean to see you?” Jo regretted that she mentioned it. “Well it’s not that. It’s just that I was going to tell you, but not yet ya know” Rachel stopped talking. “Why not?” Jo stared to ask her questions “Well I was going to tell you when we got together ya know, I mean we’re not couple yet, we’re just fooling around” “fooling around, well okay. But it seemed like he was really interested. So go for it girly” Jo dragged her legs up in the coach and looked at her friend. “Well thanks Jo-Jo. I’m really tired now. I think I’ll go to bed now. But you have really done it Jo… I’m proud of you tonight. Now you’re real grown-up” Rachel kissed Jo on the check and went to bed. Jo sat alone in the coach thinking. “Yeah I’ve really done it now, I had sex with a teacher, what am I thinking of? He’s a teacher, I’m a student. What if he used me? What if he doesn’t wanna talk to me on Monday. Jo-Jo you’re a screwed up girl” She got to bed but she didn’t fall a sleep until ten minutes before Rachel woke her up.

Outside the classroom Rachel and Jo waited a long with all the other students for the teacher to come. “Well, are you looking forward to History class in 4th” Rachel sat on the floor and looked at Jo. “Well I’m not ready for the 3 classes with Mr. Hendrix now so” Jo really didn’t want to answer that question, “Are you mad or something today Jo, you seem a bit upset” Rachel reached her hand to Jo so Jo could help her up from the floor. “No I’m not mad, I’m just really tired, and I had a lot of thinking to do last night so I didn’t sleep to well. I bet I’m falling a sleep in class” Mr. Hendrix came and the girls moved a long with al the other students in the classroom. They found a seat far behind in the classroom. Mr. Hendrix class lasted for 3hour and next where the History class with Dr.Lee. “Finally, I hate this class the most” Rachel got up from the desk and packet her books “I agree” Jo slowly zipped her bag and threw it over her shoulder. “I can’t believe we have to learn about how we cut a frog to pieces, HELLO I’m not found of creeps like that” Rachel grinned.

“I see Mr. Hendrix has made some good students out of you, why are we so quite today?” Dr.Lee tried to get the class in mood for learning about WW2. The three weeks long project has been his dream to finish. “Yeah, well we cut a dead frog into 5000 pieces and we’re feeling a bit sick, so we’re so sorry if we’re not following you in your class Dr.Lee” A boy named Jaime, who was the class clown has been really ill when they cutted the frog and now he talked on the behalf of the class. “Oh a frog… well that’s interesting, well if we work for 2 hours here in school about WW2 you all can go home and work in your pare the last hour. OK?” The students smiled and they got a long with the deal.

“Miss O’Meara, Can I please see you before you go?” Now the class is half way out of the classroom, in cheerful mood ‘cos they’re aloud to go home. Rachel went outside to but she stopped when she heard Jo’s name. “Sure you can, I just have to tell Rachel not to wait” Jo smiled “I heard he called you hun, but I gotta go, Drama class starts in 10 minutes. See you at home. Call me when you’re there” Rachel gave Jo a quick hug and went away with Jeremy who waited for her. Jo closed the door and turned to Jon. “So you wanted to talk to me?” Jo walked over to him. Jon sat down on his desk and took his hand around Jo’s waist… Jo kissed him. “Yes I wanted to talk to you… I want you, I want you right here right now. I’ve thought of you all day and I could hardly see any other place than across the room where you sat during History. Oh Jo!” He opened the zipper on Jo’s skirt. “Jon, not here I feel a bit uncomfterble, I mean… what if someone sees us?” The thought of someone walking in on them scared Jo to hell. “No one can see us… let’s lock the door and move back in the classroom behind the shelf’s and cupboards” Jon lifted Jo up and carried her to the back of the classroom. “You’re mad Jon” “Yeah I’m mad ‘cos I only want you… and I want you NOW!”

“I can’t believe I’ve slept with a teacher in a classroom” Jo buttoned up her shirt and putted her skirt back on as she sat on the floor. “Well hun, that’s just one of the adventures ya know!” Jon putted his hand up under her shirt and opened Jo’s bra again… “No Jon! Now I have to take off my shirt again” Jo smiled “Well sexy I can help you” “hands off Jon. Now please put on your clothes to before someone shows up.

Chapter 4

“Here it’s” Jon stopped the car outside Jo’s apartment. Jo looked up and she saw that there where no light in the apartment. “Rachel’s not home yet, still in drama class, wanna come up and keep me company?” Jo took her hand and placed it on Jon’s knee. “Yes I will, where can I park the car then?” “Just park it here” Jo opened the car door and went out. Jon came after.

“This is where I live” As they came in to the apartment Jo locked the door. “Nice, I love this… I can tell there are two girls living here. It’s so nice and tidy” Jon took his shoes off and walked in to the living room. “Well I’m the tidy one, Rachel’s the one who makes a mess, but she’s good at tidying to, when she finds the time for it” Jo placed her head on Jon’s shoulder. “Where’s your room?” Jon kissed Jo on the forehead. “It’s in here… wait two seconds please” She went in to the room to see if it was tidy, and it was. Then she remembered that she was going to call Rachel. “Hi Rachel, I’m back home now” Jo didn’t mention Jon “Ok, I don’t know when I’m home, but I don’t think it’s to late… but don’t wait up for me, Jeremy is driving me home. Bye” Rachel sounded stressed in the other end.

“Well is it tidy or what” Jon teased Jo when she got out. “Yes it is, now you can take a look, do you want something to drink?” “Yes please…” Jo got into the kitchen and got something to drink. Before she got back in to the room she locked the apartment door… “Rachel has e key so” She went in to the room where Jon sat on the bed. “What is it for drink?” “It’s Coke, I didn’t have anything else… sorry” Jo sat down on the bed. “Oh I like Coke… thank you” Jon took a sip and sat the glass down on Jo’s night shelf. He looked at her as she was drinking. “What is it?” Jo sat her glass beside Jon’s glass “Nothing’” Jon said and threw himself over Jo so she fell on her back down into the bed. They both laughed and then one thing lead to another.

“Hallo, anyone there? Jo?” Rachel where finally home from the drama class and Jeremy was with her. “Well it doesn’t seem like there’s no one here then. Please sit down and I make you something to drink” Jeremy went in and locked the door. “It’s nice here, almost as pretty as you” Jeremy blinked to Rachel and sat down on a chair. “Oh thanks” Rachel blushed and reached him the drink. “So it’s just us here what do you want to do?” Rachel sat on the kitchen bench and looked at Jeremy with a cheerful look, “Hm… well I do wanna see your room, and then we’ll see” Rachel sat down on his lap and they kissed… suddenly her glass fell on the floor and broke… “Ops!! Rachel laughed and went down from Jeremy’s lap and wept the broken glass up. “So let’s go to my room then handsome” Rach and Jeremy runned in to her room and smashed the door.

“Did ya hear that?” Jo pinched Jon as he had fell a sleep “No, I didn’t… what is it babe?” Jon who was really tired tried to sit up. “I think Rach is back home and she’s not alone,” Jo giggled as she suddenly heard a scream from Rachel’s room and then lots of laugher. “She’s got a boy in there… I’ve heard that giggle before” Jo laid down in bed again, Jon got his arms around her and kissed her goodnight.

“Good morning Jon, I think you should wake up now before Rachel does see you here” Jo looked at the clock, “Please Jon wake up” She shook him and he woke. “What’s the time?” Jon was really tired… “It’s 6:30 and it’s an half an hour before Rachel wakes up. “Oh My God it’s only an half an hour before I’m having a meeting at school. See ya there babe, I gotta run” Jon got his clothes on and he ran out the door.

“Good morning, did you have fun last night” Rachel came out from her room and Jo where eating breakfast on the kitchen table. “Yes I did actually, I think you had to I heard some noise from your bedroom last night” Jo giggled and she could hardly drink the juice she had in the glass. Rachel got a bit shocked that Jo heard her and Jeremy “Oh that’s so embarrassing!” “Is he still here?” Jo asked “Yes he is, he’s in the bathroom, please don’t say anything stupid Jo” “Who me?” Jo talked like a baby and she disappeared in to her room. “See ya at school”

“Jo!!” Rachel came running towards her “I need to talk to you it’s really important” when Rachel stopped she was catching her breath as she was telling Jo the important news “Marilee who’s playing Sandy in Grease called in sick, she broke her leg when she was horseback riding yesterday and she can’t play her. I said to our drama teacher that you where perfect for the part” “What, me play Sandy… I don’t know what to say!” “Please say yes, there’s no other blonde girl in this school who can sing, and I have my part as Rizzo so please Jo, pretty please” Rachel where almost at her knees now bagging. “Yeah I’ll do it, but only for you” “Thank you you’re the best!!!! Then we don’t have to cancel the whole show”

“Good one Jo, you’re really getting it now. I don’t think we’ve ever got a Sandy who sings that beautiful” The drama teacher clapped. “You’re perfect Jo. You and Rachel play good together to” Jo got really pleased when she heard it. Finally Rachel and her could share something, and finally she played the main part in the drama setting of her favourite movie. “You’re so good Jo, I envy you” Rachel and Jo went home from school after drama class. “So tell me about yesterday Jo, I know you had a visit. I saw Dr.Lee’s car outside our apartment” “Wot! Shit I didn’t think about that at all” “So he went home with you… is it that serious”

Jo and Rachel had been quiet for a while, Jo where still in shock after what Rachel had discovered. “Ya know Rach, I didn’t think that Jon…erm… Dr.Lee would come home with me at all. I was happily surprised when he said yes. We just can’t keep our hands from each other and my room was there and the rest you can think of yourself” Jo broke the silence. “I understand you… I just hope that Jeremy didn’t notice the car, then the whole school will find out about you and Dr.Lee, and that’s not what I want for you” Rachel took a sip of her tea. “I know, I was stupid, I never should have taken him home. But love can make people blind and thoughtless” Then Jo’s phone rang.

“Hello it’s Jon, we have a tiny bit of a crisis” Jo told Jon to wait and she went in to her room “What type of a crisis?” Jo couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “We’ve been discovered my the principal. He called me to hear if I have finished the papers I was about to finish, then he asked me who the girl I had in my car last night was” Jon stopped for a bit “And? Did you tell him?” “Yes I did, I said it was one of my History students, Jo O’Meara, and that you missed your last buss and I offered you a ride” “Yeah and… we haven’t been discovered by that Jon. He only saw a teacher giving a student a safe ride back home” Jo didn’t think of the kiss she gave Jon when they sat in the car “Well” Jon continued “We did kiss, he said; So you kiss all the female students you give a lift home then?” Jo felt her tears where running down her check “So that means we have to end it?” “No doll, we just have to be more careful. Take it easy babe” Jon could hear her girlfriend crying and he regret that he told her what the principal told him “Listen, I’ll come and get you right now, pack some stuff and you’ll sleep over at my place. I’ll drive you to the school buss tomorrow and then I can drive alone to school. No one will be suspicious”

Chapter 5

“Wake up beauty” Jo felt a soft kiss on her lips when she woke “Oh is it morning all ready, I wish we didn’t have to go to school, can’t we call in sick?” Jo where really tired. “I have to drive you to the school buss remember” Jon stood up and went to the kitchen and made breakfast. Jo came in and ate when she had dressed herself. “It’s good, thanks for letting me stay the night Jon” “No problem hun.”

When Jo arrived school she saw Rachel snogging Jeremy, Rachel saw her and she made a sign that she had to wait for her before class. Jo waited. “Now we’re a official couple” Rachel where in total excitement! “Congrats” Jo where really happy for her friend. “Are you two heading fro the prom queen and prom king?” “Yes we’re, Leeshia added us” Rachel made a grin “She added us even though she wants Jeremy herself” Both of the girls laughed.

“Vote for Rach and Jez at the prom king and queen 2004” Five girls included Jo and Rachel had the Rach and Jez campaign, they competed with lots of other couples in the school. The prom where only 4 weeks away and the students where in full preparation. “I’m so exited… finally the summer prom and graduation” Rachel where in full activity she where handing out voting posters to everyone who walked by. “I know, the good thing about the summer prom is that the teacher’s can come to!” Jo laughed a little. Rachel looked at her and started to giggle as well.

“Hm the little black one here is so sexy” Rachel and Jo where in an exclusive store to buy prom dresses. They’ve been saving for prom dresses since wintertime. “A little dress? I mean shouldn’t prom dresses be prom dresses, long and a bit princess something?” “Yeah you’re right” Rachel took the little dress on its place again. “Oh my GOD this one is beautiful” Jo caught the sight of a long white princess dress “I want this one” Jo looked closer on the dress and discovered that it wasn’t so expensive even though it was pearls on it. “Yeah that one will fit you perfect, it’s good that you’ve got some tan colour from the sun then” Rachel walked over to a very pretty red long dress “I love this. It even has pearls on like your dress Jo; I think I’ll take this one. Let’s go and try them on. The girls went in to the dressing room and came out about the same time with their dresses on. “Oh we look really beautiful” Jo and Rachel looked at each other. “Let’s take this dresses” Rachel went in to the dressing room again. Jo just stood there and looked at herself, then she went in to the dressing room to change.

“Shall I book an hour for you at the hairdresser as well?” Rachel looked in her wallet for the hairdresser cards she had all the numbers on “yeah sure, at the same time as you have time if that’s OK for you” “’course it’s. That’s what I meant anyway” She took the phone and she called the hairdresser. Jo hung their dresses up so they wouldn’t be ruined. “Ok thanks” Rachel hangs up the phone and write down the hairdresser time on a post-it and hung it on the fridge.

The weeks went and now it was only one week until the school graduation prom. The students felt the excitement and they could hardly sit still during classes. Jo and Dr.Lee (Jon) where still seeing each other but they where careful because of the principal. But now things changed. Two days before the prom night Jo and Jon where caught by the principal when they where shopping for a dress to Jon so he could have when the prom night comes. “So, you two are having a relationship” The principal stood right outside the store where Jo and Jon came out from. “Yes we are, and we’re aloud to have one as long as we’re outside school right? And she’s 18” Jon held his arm around Jo. The principal just stared at them before he said, “You know that at the last prom which is two days away you two can go together?” The principal looked serious before he laughed. He looked at Jo and Jon who where complexly shocked by the message “You mean we can!! We can go together?” Jo smiled from ear to ear. The unexpected news gave the butterflies in her tummy move even faster… now the prom wouldn’t be so bad after all.

“Rachel I’ve got some EXTREMELY cool news” Jo slammed the door and dropped her bags on the floor. She runned in to Rachel’s room where she was about to see something unexpected. Rachel in bed with Jeremy “OH SHIT!!! I’M SO SORRY!” Jo locked the door and swallowed the laughter that was about to burst out. She heard Rachel and Jeremy talking in the other end of the door. Two seconds later Rachel came out with Jeremy’s t-shirt on. “Well Jo, next time can you please knock before you come in?” Rachel didn’t know if she was going to be mad or just laugh about the whole thing. “Yes I can” The girls didn’t know who was more embarressed. “I can take a tour out and you’ll call me when Jeremy has gone home” Jo sat her bags in her room and went out.

Jo took the bus to Jon’s house; she was pleased when she saw the car outside. She knocked on the door and Jon came out. “What are you doing here?” Jon was pleased to see her “It’s a long story, well it’s not but can I come in?” “Sure you can, so what’s the story?” Jo told Jon the story and he laughed. “Well kids no these days, never locks the doors!” He started to tickle Jo, Jo tried to get away and both of them landed on the floor. “See I’m so much stronger than you Dr.Lee” Jo sat on top of Jon and held his arms above his head. “No you’re not” He got loose and he placed his arms on Jo’s knees. Jo bent down and kissed him and both of them rolled under the table when they heard the door opening. “Jon are you there” a woman’s voice broke through the room and Jo quickly looked at Jon and whispered in a irritated voice “Please don’t tell me that’s you’re wife” She rolled away from the table and away from Jon “No it’s not my wife it’s my sister Cassie, I promised to drive her to the store so she can do the shopping for mum and dad” Jon whispered back.

“Jon are you there” Cassie came into the living room where she found Jo and Jon on the floor. “Now what is this?” Cassie looked at them with big eyes “Oh hi Cassie we didn’t hear you coming” Jon quickly got on his feet and helped Jo up, “Jo this is Cassie, Cassie this is my girlfriend Jo” Jo and Cassie shook hands and Cassie smiled “How old are you then Jo?” The tone in Cassie’s voice sounded a bit speculating “I’m actually 18 years old” Jo said and grabbed Jon’s hand. “Oh then you look very young for your age, but you look very pretty. Nice to meet you Jo” Cassie turned her head over to Jon “Well I haven’t got all day so I would appreciate if we could drive to the store now!” Cassie went out and waited with the car.

Cassie, Jo and Jon where on their way to the store in Jon’s car. Cassie didn’t say a word, neither did Jo and Jon. When they reached the store Jo sat in the car while Cassie and Jon where shopping. When they came out from the store she could see Cassie better than she did at Jon’s house. Cassie where tall, had long brown hair and she was light and slim. She looked a bit like Jon so now she could see that they where truly in family.

Chapter 6

“Oh come on in” Jon’s mum, a nice lady who stood in the gateway when they came home from the store. She looked at Jo with big eyes. “Hi darlin’ who are you then?” Jon’s Mrs Lee smiled at Jo, before she got to answer Jon introduced her “This is my girlfriend Joanne” Mrs Lee shock Jo’s hand “Oh aren’t you beautiful, and young, I wish I had your looks. Now come in and join us for a cup of tea before you leave” “Oh thank you Mrs Lee” Jo held Jon’s hand and went in. After one hour Jon drove Jo home again.

“Your mum is so sweet” Jo smiled at Jon and he smiled back “it’s nice of you to say. I have to apologize for my sister behaviour” “No you don’t. I think she was nice” Jon stopped the car outside Jo’s apartment. “Shall I come up with you?” Jon asked, “I mean so you don’t walk in on Rachel and Jeremy again?” “Yes please. If you have the time” Jo and Jon went up and they got met by Jeremy and Rach as they went in. Jeremy almost spilled his coffee when he saw Jon with Jo. “Oh hi Dr.Lee” He managed to take the cup down on the table before he spilled. “Hi Jeremy, are you having a nice time? And please outside school I’m Jon” Jon laughed. Jeremy, Rachel, Jo and Jon sat and talked for some hours before Jeremy and Jon left.

“I’m sorry for I walked in on you” Now Jo and Rachel where alone, they where cleaning up after they’re visit. “That’s Ok hun, I was stupid enough to not lock the door so” “Well it’s only one day until prom night now” Jo looked at her watch and it was just passed midnight. “Oh I can’t wait, we where and bought Jeremy a suit today” “What a convenience, me and Jon where and bought one to. And you won’t believe it when I tell you this, we have the principal’s blessing to go to the prom together!” “You’re kidding? Was that the exiting news you where going to tell me?” “Yes it was” “I’m so happy for you Jo, maybe you want to share a limo with Jeremy and I?” “If you want us to,” Jo answered. “You know what I’ll text message Jeremy straight away so you know” Rachel got her mobile phone from her purse and sent a message to Jeremy. Jo sent a message to Jon as well. “It’s Ok that you and Jon share a limo with us, but you’ll have to pay half of it” “It’s Ok for Jon to, how cool, double date on the prom night.”

The day before prom night the students always get free from school. Jo rushed to Jon’s house to hang with him. “Hiya babes, I was expecting you” Jon had made a glass of ice tea to Jo. “You where… good one, ‘cos today I’m all yours!” “You are? I feel very special” Jon took Jo’s hair behind her ears and kissed her, and then he opened the buttons on her shirt. He lifted Jo up on the kitchen table. “You know that I love you right?” He continued to kiss Jo now he kissed her on her breasts. “Yes I do know that, I love you to and I can’t wait until the prom is over” Jo got Jon’s t-shirt off and jumped off the kitchen table and kissed him all over. They moved quickly to Jon’s bedroom.

“Hi it’s Rach, when are you coming home?” Jo had been with Jon for almost 5 hours when Rachel called her. “Oh I can be home in an hour” Jo looked at Jon who made a sign that he could drive her. “That’s great, we have to make our dresses ready and stuff” “Yeah I know, I’ll be home at one hour the latest. Luv ya”. “Who do you love?” Jon went under Jo’s eiderdown and kissed Jo on her bellybutton. “That tickles” Jo closed her eyes “I know, and I know that you like it” Jon kissed his way to Jo’s mouth. “I gotta go soon, If I’m not home within an hour Rachel may call the police” “Well as much I love to lie here next to you naked and feel you I may take you home then.”

“Bye then, see ya tomorrow” Jo kissed Jon goodbye and went out of the car. She had nearly managed to walk up the stairs before she heard Rachel’s voice. “I’ll be sure to tell her that Mr O’Meara. Oh don’t hang up she’s here now” Rachel handed the phone to Jo. “It’s your dad”. “Hi dad, are there something wrong?” Jo was pleased to hear her dad’s voice again. “No sweetie there’s nothing wrong. I was calling to tell you that your old boyfriend Lee is getting married. He told me to tell you” “Oh that’s great, who is he marrying?” “Oh I think you know her, you went to kindergarten with her, Maria Christine or something” Jo laughed “Oh my God, well I hope they have a nice life together then” “Yeah me to, she seemed a bit posh if you ask me. Well Jo its prom night tomorrow right?” “Yes dad it’s” Jo smiled “Do you have a date then?” “Yes I do dad, his name is Jon and…” “And what darlin’” “Oh nothing daddy, he’s a very nice guy” “Well have a fun night then, your mum says hi and we love you very much and we miss you. Goodbye then” “Bye dad, I love you to. Give mum a hug from me, say hello to Julie and Shane to” Jo hung up and laid the phone back.

“So Lee’s getting married to Maria Christine” Rachel giggled, “Oh please Lee could you hand me the glass from the upper shelf, the one no one else than me has touched?” Rachel and Jo laughed their heads of. “Well back to earth here, it’s prom and we need to make our dresses ready” Jo went in to her room and found her dress. “I love this dress, maybe I’ll get married in it” “Stop the nonsense” Rachel stretched tongue to Jo “You can be my bridesmaid in it” “What do you mean by that?” “Oh nothing, I’m just kidding, it’s just that I’m hearing church bells whenever I think of Jeremy” “you’re daft Rach, you’re 18 years old and have your whole life in front of you. Church bells get out of here” “Yeah I know, maybe its only nerves for the prom”

The girls went to bed but they could hardly sleep. Both of the had butterflies in their tummy, school’s over and they where in the grown-ups standing place. Nothing scared them more than that. “Rachel are you awake?” Jo had taken her pillow and carpet out and now she only stood in her pyjamas outside Rachel’s room. “Yes I’m awake” “Can I come in then?” “Sure you can” Jo opened the door and lay down beside Rachel. “What is it?” Rachel stroke Jo over her hair. “It’s nothing, I just can’t sleep” “I can’t sleep either. I’ll be tired tomorrow though” Rachel smiled “I can’t believe that a school year is over and now we’re finito with every book and daft teacher’s… oh sorry I mean old teachers” “I know what you meant, and no affiance taken by that” “Well shall we try to sleep, wanna sleep here?” Rachel tucked Jo up “Yes I do mummy” Jo made a baby voice and Rachel just laughed. Both girls went to sleep.

“Do you take the dresses and I’ll take the shoes, handbags, keys, and mobile phones?” Rachel and Jo started to pack their things. They’re on their way to the hairdresser and it’s only 3 hours to prom. “Yes I’ll take them, Rach, remember credit cards and money too” “Yeah yeah” Rachel went in and out from her and Jo’s room. Finally they where ready to go to the hairdresser.

“I’ll have my hair up please” Jo sat down infront of the mirror and beside Rachel “And the same for me” Rachel said. The hairdressers started to do their hair, in went one hour before they where finished. Then Rachel’s phone rang “Hi Rach, me and Jon are getting the limo now, where shall we pick you up?” “Oh we’re at the hairdresser on the corner of Oxford Street. “Clip and Curl” is the name of it” “Ok sexy see ya then in one hour” Jeremy hung up and the hairdresser started to put make-up on Rachel. “This is life Ratz, sit here and let people do our hair and make-up” Jo felt like a celebrity when she sat there. “I know, now we can see what savings can do for us”.

Chapter 7

“Oh my good Rachel you look adorable” Now the girls where in their prom dresses and their hair where perfectly done. “Oh thanks, you look stunning to Jo. Are we ready then?” The girls paid off and went outside to wait for their dates. “I can’t wait. I’m overexcited I think!” “Overexcited hah. Well don’t get to overexcited, you still have to concentrate on wearing high heels you know” Rachel smiled. “I know, I wish I had your elegance Rach, I mean you look fabulous in high heels and wear them with confidence, me I just stumble and fall over if there’s anything in my way” “Don’t worry Jo, you have had plenty of practice now, and so on now you have one to hold on to all night anyway. Speaking of the sun, here they come”. A huge limo rolled up in front of the. Out came the chauffeur for the night and opened the door for the girls. “You two look beautiful ladies” he took off his hat and showed the girl’s in. “Thank you” The girls answered.

“Here we are” The limos stopped and the gang stepped out if it. “Wow I’ve never seen any of the students dressed like this” Jeremy took Rachel’s hand “but none are as beautiful as my date tonight” he said and kissed Rachel. “I think you’re more beautiful,” Jon whispered in Jo’s ear, Jo turned around and kissed him. Then the 4 went in to the others.

Many of the students where staring at Jo and Jon. Jon didn’t seem to care but Jo had a feeling that they had some ugly comments in hand. Rachel noticed that Jo seemed a bit nervous. “Excuse us guys, we just have to go to the bathroom and powder our noses” Rachel took Jo’s arm and they went out. “I can see you’re not feeling well Jo, what is it?” Rachel knew Jo better than anyone else and she hated to see her like this. “I don’t know Rach, I just have a feeling that it’s wrong being here with Jon. All of the others are staring and whispering. Maybe I’m just being paranoid but it’s just a feeling I’ve got” “Do you love Jon?” “’Course I do, for heaven sake, I have never ever met a guy like him” Jo looked down “But here he is the teacher and I’m a student” “Yeah and so? He’s 5 years older than you, which are normal. If you hadn’t been a student and been his date anyway then no one would care. But today you’re happened to be a student and him a teacher, and I think that is great. Don’t you let the others bother you. Go in there with your head high and stay with your date. He wouldn’t be your date if he didn’t want to you know” “Thank you Rachel, you’re the best” Jo and Rachel went in again, but right before they got in to the big prom hall they met Leeshia. “You two look very beautiful this evening” She smiled “You to Leeshia, I really like your dress” Jo said and Rachel agreed. “Who’s your date tonight Leeshia?” “Oh, well I’m here with Dustin from your math class. I can see you got Jeremy at last” “Yes I did. Oh Dustin is a nice guy. You to have a lovely evening then” Rachel and Jo started to walk, but Leeshia stopped them “And you then Jo?” Right when Leeshia had said it Jo saw Jon, he was starting to worry and now he was on his way to look for her. Jo went towards him and Leeshia followed her with her eyes “This is my date” Jo looked at Jon and spoke up so Leeshia could hear her. Jo smiled at Leeshia “Oh how nice. Well I’ll see ya soon” Leeshia walked away. Rachel started to laugh “Did you see her face” She blinked at Jo and Jo blinked back.

“What was that all about?” Jon asked Jo “Oh nothing darlin’, let’s go and dance please”. Jo and Jon went to the dance floor where they met Rachel and Jeremy as well. “They’re announcing the princesses, princes, king and queen in an half an hour” Rachel pointed at the judges who went around looking at the dancing couples. “So stay on the dance floor with your partner, all of the dancing couples are in the prince and princess competition. But the king and queen are the ones who had campaigns” Jo could hear the excitement in Rachel’s voice.

“Even though you’re not voted prom queen you’re my queen” Jon held Jo tight “Thanks Jon, you have no idea what that means to me” Jo felt warm of love as she where in Jon’s arms. Then the principal came on stage, together with his assistant Marjorie Tanner from the faculty office. “Good evening my students and teachers. I hope you all have nice evening. I’ve got the honour of announcing the three princesses of this year’s prom. The judges has decided that two of the female students are becoming princesses, a long with one of the teachers” The principal laughed a little before he went on again “The first princess are: Tatiana Hermoine Hemmers” Tatiana who where on of the bimbo girls on the school got a bit disappointed. She went on stage and the principal crowned her with a tiara. “The next princess is one of out new beloved teachers: Leigh Ann Warner” The new young cool teacher blushed and went on stage and got crowned. “And the last princess are: Joanne Valda O’Meara” Jo couldn’t believe her ears when her name was spoken. She kissed Jon and went on stage. All she could here where clapping and the students cheering for her. She congratulated the fellow princesses.

“Then we have the princes for the evening” Marjorie where the one to announce them. “Also here we have a teacher on the throne along with two of our beloved students. The first runner up is: Dustin Julius” Dustin who where Leeshia’s date where Tatiana’s ex-boyfriend. He stood beside Tatiana when he got crowned, and then Leeshia disappeared. “Prince number two are: Trevor Michael Houseby” Jo had been in love with Trevor the whole first year of school. But now she couldn’t believe what she had seen in him. “The last prince of the prom is also one of our young teachers. They seem like taking out place up Mr. Principal” Marjorie and the principal laughed before she announced the prince “Jonathan Lee” Suddenly Jo felt a smile coming… “Did I hear right?” she looked down and caught Rachel, Rachel stood with her hands folded and with the biggest smile on her face. Then she felt a hand around her back. It was Jon, she didn’t hear wrong. “Congrats” she whispered and Jon just answered with a pinch.

“Now the big happening, we have two royal people in this school. The prom queen and king. To announce them we have got the schools janitor” A quite handsome janitor it was as well, lots of the female students where secretly in love with him. He’s only 20 years old and single. “Hello, I’ve got the honour of announcing the royal students, that’s why I’m dressed up in a suit today and not old jeans and t-shirts. Well the king of the prom 2004 are: Jeremy Edwards!” “I hope you’ll be the queen then” Jeremy whispered to Rachel before he got on stage and got crowned. “Congratulations man! Well now the time has come, how is the queen then? I can say as much as I personally voted for her, but today she’s with her date so I can’t take her. Please give it up for Rachel Lauren Stevens!” Rachel got a bit surprised since she didn’t do well on the students poll. She went up and got crowed, she kissed Jeremy and gave Jo and Jon a hug. “Now give room for the royal family who’s dancing this dance alone. Come one princesses and princes, king and queen”

All the 8 members of the student’s royal family went on the dance floor. The other students made a circle around them. The couples where: prince Dustin and princess Tatiana, prince Trevor and princess Leigh Ann, prince Jon and princess Jo and the happy king Jeremy and queen Rachel. “This is the best thing ever happened to me” Rachel whispered to Jo as they came towards each other on the dance floor. “Same here. I can’t wait until tomorrow. First the Grease show and then our school papers and then FINISH” “I know… I can’t wait either. Are you going home with Jon tonight?” “Yes I’m, so I’ll be seeing you tomorrow at the Grease show”

Chapter 8

“I’m soo nervous!” Rachel and Jo stood backstage, Jo had on a yellow skirt and a white shirt, and Rachel had on a Pink Ladies jacket and a blue pair of pedel pushers. “You nervous? I’m the one playing the mail part… I have more lines than you my dear… Oh now I feel sick… Rachel die your hair blonde…NOW!” “No Jo, I have problems with all the 350 people who’s watching us” “350, thanks Rachel now I feel even more sick”. After a time with “arguing” Jo and Rachel managed to keep quiet and concentrate on their work on the stage.

“Fist act was brilliant girls and boys” The Drama teacher was pleased over the students work. Most she was impressed by Jo and Rachel “Ms O’Meara and Ms Stevens, you two are really good, keep it up girls. Now change costumes and get back on stage” All the students of the drama set Grease went on stage again, now in new costumes and new energy. Rachel and Jo where in this same setting, both of them truly nervous but both of them very glad for the credit the drama teacher gave them. Jeremy and Jon where in the audience and that made them extra nervous.

“Oh yes in deed… you’re the one that I want” Jo where singing her heart out and then she spotted Jon in the audience. She felt awful about kissing “Danny” and she tried not to look at Jon too much. Then the kiss came and Jo tried to have her mouth shut. She was almost laughing but when “Danny” stopped kissing her she where relieved. She looked at Jon again, and he smiled.

“Great now we’re truly finished” Rachel and Jo where backstage with the rest of the Drama team as they where changing to their normal clothes. “Yeah I know, and you where a fabulous Rizzo Rachel, I’m so proud of you” “Thanks “Sandy” You played very well to. Now are we ready for dinner then?” Jo and Rach met Jeremy and Jon outside and they drove back to the girl’s apartment. “You look a bit pale Jo, are you alright?” Jon laid his arm around her “Yeah, it’s just that I’ve been feeling a bit of an ache in my stomach this last weeks. I think I’m catching a bug or something” She smiled and laid her head on Jon’s shoulder. She felt so safe in Jon’s arms.

They arrived at the apartment and the Pizza man rang the doorbell “Oh he’s fast this time” Jeremy went for the door and opened. “Two Pizza’s with extra cheese and onions, £15 please” Jeremy opened his wallet and paid him “Dinner girls and boys” The four sat down and ate. The convocation went fats around the table. Suddenly Jo had to run to the bathroom.

“Gees, what was that?” Rachel went after her and she found Jo throwing up her food. “Jo are you alright?” She sat down beside her. “No, I just can’t stand the stomach ache anymore, it’s been going on for weeks now. I though it was because I was expecting my period, but I’m 5 days late for that to. Rachel I think I’m pregnant” Rachel looked at Jo with big eyes “Pregnant, are you sure? I mean you have been with Jon for 3 moths right?” She started to count on her fingers “Yes Rachel 3 months and I have had stomach ache 2 weeks. And it’s not normal for me that my period is late either” “But did you have unprotected sex?” Jo didn’t answer at first, she just looked at Rachel with tears in her eyes “No Rachel, but one of the times we did it we found out afterwards that the condom had a hole in it. I didn’t think of it that much, I thought it broke after… you know” Jo burst in to tears “How stupid am I?” “How long is this since?” Rachel asked carefully “I don’t know…” Jo counted on her fingers “a month and a half or something” Rachel didn’t know what to say, she just let Jo in to her arms and let her cry. “Don’t tell Jon anything. Tomorrow we’re taking a trip to the doctors and get it confirmed. We can’t take any rushed conclusions ourselves” Rachel spoke gently to her. “Now dry your tears up and let’s go back to the boys. Just tell them you ate to fast and it came up again OK. Blame it on that you have your period, they can’t check it anyway”

“That was about time, where did you to disappear to?” Jon looked at Jo “Oh I just ate to fast. You know we girls have something that comes one time in a month and… yeah I don’t need to say more” Jo smiled, but she felt awful. “I think it’s about time that we leave this two girls alone Jon. Let’s go home,” Jeremy could read on Rachel that there where something wrong. “Ok, well darlin, and Rachel, see ya tomorrow” Jon and Jeremy kissed their girlfriends and went home.

“I think you should go to bed now Jo, lay down and try to sleep. I’ll clean the kitchen. Tomorrow we’ll leave early for the doctors, OK?” “Ok Rachel, thank you, I don’t know what to do. If I’m pregnant I want the baby… but…” “Jo, stop it and go to bed” Rachel interrupted.

Early morning Rachel and Jo where at the doctors. They sat in the waiting room and both where really tired. Then the doctor came and said Jo’s name. Jo held Rachel’s hand and they both went in to the office. “So what can I do for you girls?” The doctor where a middle-aged woman with blonde hair and glasses. She where tall and slim and had a friendly voice. “Well, I have had a stomach ache lately and I’m like 6 days over my period, today. I’ve felt the ache a couple of weeks and I’m worried that I might be pregnant” Jo felt a tears coming and she held Rachel’s hand tight. “Ok, well we have to take a test then. I need your name and birth date as well” Then the doctor looked at Rachel “Are we taking a test of you to or?” “Oh no, I’m just a friend of her. I need to come as a support” The doctor smiled “It’s nice that you are supporting your friend”.

“Well I have some good news and some you can decide if their good and bad news yourself news” The doctor looked at both of the girls. “Give us the good news first” Jo said with a frightened look on her face. “The good news is that there’s nothing wrong with you, you’re perfectly healthy” “And the other news?” “The other news is that you’re pregnant. The baby is perfectly healthy as well” Jo and Rachel looked at each other and the doctor, continued “I’ll sign you up for an ultrasound next week” The doctor putted down her paper “And the baby’s father, does he know?” Jo felt the tears coming back “No he doesn’t, I just found out myself” “But you’re going to tell him, or are you two raising this child alone?” “Who us?” Jo laughed a little “We’re not a couple, I’m together with the baby’s father” Then the doctor and Rachel laughed to “Oh I’m so sorry, I just don’t know this days” The doctor said, Jo could hear on her voice that she where a bit embarressed.

The girls went home, Jo had her paper telling her the time of the ultrasound in her hand. “Shall I call Jon and tell him to come over?” Rachel turned to Jo as they where driving. Rachel had borrowed her mum’s car “Well, I really want you to be there when I tell him Rach” Jo took a better grip on her paper “No Jo, you have to be alone with him when you tell him. Not that I don’t want to be there, but I think this is something that you should tell him yourself” Rachel had sharp sound in her voice. “Ok, thanks Rachel, I don’t know where I would have been without you” “Thanks, but you have saved me so many times from doing stupid things Jo, so I own you this”. Rachel turned the car to the parking spot and stopped. Then she took her mobile phone from her purse and called Jon.

“Hi it’s Rachel. I’m calling for Jo; I think she has something important to tell you tonight. So if you could come to our place around 7 it would be great” “This sound serious, I’ll be there Rach, and thanks for calling” Rachel hung up and the girls went out of the car.

Chapter 9

“I’ll be off now, I’m meeting Jez to go and catch a move. Now good luck girly” Rachel went out the door, but she soon came back “I forgot to tell you that I have my mobile with me and if there’s anything just call me” Then she disappeared again. Jo where standing in front of the door just waiting for Jon. She wanted to run in to his arms and cry. Then the doorbell rang and Jon came in. He had just locked the door when Jo where in his arms crying her heart out.

“What is it?” Jon asked and held his crying girlfriend in his arms. “I’m pregnant with out baby Jon. We’re having a baby” Jo said as she was crying, by now she didn’t know if it was happy tears or sad tears “Baby? You? Me? How?” Jon didn’t know how to react to the news “The usual way Jon, the way we make babies…” Jo where still crying but now she weren’t in Jon’s arms anymore. She where in the living room and she sank in to the sofa. Jo sat beside her, still in shock. “My Good, that’s why you where sick yesterday why didn’t you tell me then,” “I couldn’t ‘cos I wasn’t sure. I had my suspicion but I got it confirmed today. Rachel and me went to the doctor. I’m sorry Jon” “How did it happened? I mean we’ve always been careful and used protection! Oh now I see the one time we discovered, oh shit!” Jon stood up but he quickly sat down again. “Are you mad Jon? I didn’t mean to hurt you, it’s my fault” Jo burst in to tears again. “No it’s not your fault honey, it’s a mistake both of us has done, and it’s not a mistake it’s not good to call it that. It’s a miracle, but yet it’s hard to swallow” he kept quiet a bit before he continued “Jo, are we keeping this baby or are we getting rid of it?” “I don’t know Jon. I can’t force the responsibility on you. I’m again abortion, but yet I’m only 18 and you can have some many others than me and how stupid I’m I if I’m forcing you to be a dad. You have your work and everything” Jo sat in the sofa corner, a bit away from Jon. She was shaking and crying, she had her legs pulled under her and she had her face covered with a pillow. “Little angel of mine” Jon moved himself closer to Jo and took her in his arms “I’m not mad at you, and you’re not taking the responsibility alone. I’m with you all the way. I love Joanne Valda O’Meara; if I didn’t love you I wouldn’t be here now. If we’re having a baby we’re having it together and I’m willing to take my part of what has become. You’re not forcing me to be a dad. I was going to be a dad sooner or later, and that with you as my wife. I want to share my life with you Jo, with or without this baby. It’s your body; it’s your decision. I’m with you all the way. And if you decide to take this baby away we can wait a while until we’re having a family”

Jo where surprised by Jon’s reaction. She stopped crying and she kissed Jon. “I want this baby, and I’m so glad that you’re the baby’s father. I love you so much Jon, you’re the best thing in my life and I’ve loved you since the day you walked in the door as Dr.Lee. I have an ultrasound appointment on Tuesday next week. Do you wanna come?” “Yes I do. But tell me something, Rachel knows about this right?” Jo looked at Jon and smiled “if it hadn’t been for Rachel I would have done something stupid. She where the one bagging me to go to the doctor today. We have a lot to thank her for” “I know let’s call her” “She’s out watching a movie with Jez” “No she’s not Jo, she at Jez’s apartment I saw her when she stood by his door” Jon went for Jo’s mobile phone. “Call her and tell them to come over, they’re going to be aunt and uncle so” “You’re so adorable Jon”

“Rachel speaking” Hearing Rachel’s voice where a relief for Jo. “How’s the movie?” she asked Rachel “Oh we didn’t go. I’m here with Jez, just hanging out. How are you?” “Well me and Jon have talked a lot and… just bring Jez and come here right now” Jo hung up and laid her mobile on the table. “They’re coming” “So mum, how far in the pregnancy are you?” “I’m one and a half moths” “Oh so we’re got some time to find an apartment then” Jon laid his hand on Jo’s stomach “Listen here baby, you, me and your mum are going to be a perfect family, and be nice to you mum while you’re in there. She’s young and if you’re going to have any sisters or brothers when you grow up you better treat her well” “Jo silly clown” Jo said and gave Jon a hug. “I might be young but still I’m 18 and I have graduated school” “Yeah you’re right. Have you thought of any names then?” Jo looked at Jon with big eyes “names? I just found out that I’m pregnant and I haven’t even told my parents yet” “Then you’ll better call and tell them right now”

“Hi mum, it’s Jo” Suddenly Jo heard a calm, friendly and happy voice in the other end “JO DARLIN! How are you?” “I’m fine mum, but I’ve got something to tell you, and I’ve got something to tell dad, is he home?” Then she heard Babs shouting for Dave. “I’ll put on the speaker then doll!” Jo heard her dad coming in to the room and she started “Mum and dad, this might come as a shock, I might be very young and you might be really mad at me but” Then she got interrupted “What you’re getting married???” She could here the excitement in Babs voice “No mum I’m not getting married. I’m pregnant” Babs and Dave became very silent and Jo had to make sure they where there “mum, dad, are you there…?” She grabbed for Jon’s hand as she was waiting for an answer “Yeas we’re here love. Let me see if I got it straight, you’re pregnant, you’re expecting a baby?” “Yes I’m expecting a child in 8 and a half months” “And who’s the father” Dave asked in a concerned voice “It’s a boy named Jon, the one I was going to prom with. I’ve been going out with him for 3 months now and this came as a shock” Jo spoke slowly “3 months is a long time. Congrats. Is he still with you Jo? Is he taking his part of the responsibility? Jo darling, why didn’t you tell us that had a boyfriend?” Babs had lots of questions. Jo where glad they didn’t yell at her. “I didn’t tell you ‘cos first I didn’t have the time and second I just had to see how serious it was before me telling you anything. Yes he’s happy that we’re having this baby” Then Babs asked, “Jo, is he only 18 to? Is he a boy from your class?” Jo didn’t know how to tell them, she looked at Jon and he gave her a sign that it was al right to tell them “Well…” She started “He’s actually or he was actually my History teacher this year, and he’s 23 years old” Jo waited for the reaction from the other end of the phone “Oh” she heard her dad saying “that wasn’t so bad. When I heard your saying teacher I though he was 50 or something” “23 isn’t a bad age… when are we meeting this boy?” Babs seemed a bit upset but she was happy for Jo. “I don’t know mum and dad, I’ll call you later this week,” The Jon whispered something in her ear “Mum and dad, can we come to Romford next Friday?” “Yes my dear Jo-Jo We’ll be happy to see you and Jon. But doll can I tell Julie and Shane this news today or do you want to tell them yourself?” Now Babs sounded more happy “You can tell them mum. Bye mum and dad I love you and thanks for not yelling at me. I look forward to next weekend. Kisses for both of you” “Darlin’ we can’t get mad at you, what happens, happens and there’s nothing we can do about it love. Kisses for you to”

“Maria is a nice name for a girl” Rachel and Jeremy had arrived and they where in full discussion about names “Or Megan” Rachel where so exited and Jeremy didn’t actually take it slow either “Sean if it’s a boy and Caroline for a girl” “That’s nice names hun, maybe we should get a baby to” Rachel jumped on Jeremy’s lap and kissed him. “Let’s wait until Jo and Jo has got a bay first, so we have something to practice on” Jeremy touched Jo’s stomach. “Are you checking me out Jez” Jo laughed, “Yes I’m, I’ve always heard that pregnant women have a special glow” “Cut it out Jez” Rachel took his hand and held him.

Chapter 10

“I actually think Amanda is a nice name if it’s a baby girl” Now Jon started to join the name race “Amanda” Jo began to think, “I love it, if you don’t mind Jon we can use that as a name if the baby is a girl!” Jo held both her hands on her stomach “Yes I would like our baby to have that name ig she’s a girl. Then we can call her Many, Amy or Manda for short” “You have really thought this trough Jon” Rachel smiled “I thought of Ruben if it’s a boy” Jo looked at Jon “Yes I agree with that name. See Jo we didn’t have to argue about the names”

“Erm Rachel can I have a word with you in private?” Jon laid his hand on Rachel’s shoulder “Sure, Jez stay here and keep Jo company” “Always on duty. So Jo, you and me alone… how dare they?” Jez grabbed Jo as they where going to kiss each other “Well I don’t mind Jez, I just take your girlfriend” They all laughed and Rachel and Jon went into Rachel’s room. “So what’s up? Are you having second thought and want to ask me how to break it to Jo?” Rachel crossed her arms “It’s not like that at all Rachel. I was actually thinking of asking Jo to marry me” “Oh my GOD that’s great Jon. But do you really love her? Or is it just because of the baby?” Rachel had seen her friend get hurt so many times, and she had been hurt so many times. She couldn’t stand the though of Jo getting dumped or getting married or false circumstances. “Yes I really do love Jo. I talked to her a lot this evening. I love her and I would stay with her if she had decided to not keep the baby as well.” “I believe you Jon. You’re very good to Jo and I haven’t seen her so happy before she met you. But if you hurt her you’re not getting away with it” Rachel gave Jon a hug “I do love you as much as I love Jo, and I think Jez likes you to. We’re a nice gang”

Friday came and Jo and Jon where heading for Romford. “Have you been in Romford before?” Jo saw the sign on the road and she felt butterflies in her tummy “No I haven’t. I’m really looking forward to meet your parents and the rest of your family” “Really, I’m so glad you’re getting to meet them. Also my brother and my sister Julie and Shane” Now they could see Jo’s house “Here it is… the blue one there on the left hand side” Jon drove the car in front of the house. Then Babs and Dave came out and met them. “Jo my dear daughter” Babs came running towards them with her arms open. She gave Jo the biggest hug. Dave also gave his daughter a hug. “We’re so glad to see you, and you look so beautiful and grown up. Oh my little princess” They went in to the house where they also met Julie and Shane. Jon said hello to all of them and they seemed to like him.

Later they all sat around a huge table in the garden. Jon held Jo’s hand and everyone around them could see they where in love. “You are a very nice boy Jon, and I’m proud that my daughter as found a bloke like you” Babs looked straight in Jo’s eyes and Jo could see her mums eyes where happy. “Thank you very much Babs, it means a lot to me hearing you say that” “CHEERS” Dave held his glass up “CHEERS for me being a grandfather and Babs being a grandmother. And CHEERS for the lovely man my daughter has found”

“So how do you like my family?” Jo and Jon where in Jo’s room. It was late and they where in bed to sleep. “I’ve never felt anymore welcome than here. I love your family al ready, they’re nice persons and now I see where you have got all your best sides from” “Thank you. I have though about something, what will your mum and dad, and Cassie say?” “I have thought about it and I think they’ll taking it the same way as your family. I mean my mother likes you a lot. My sister likes you to but she’s a bit posh. And I love you and that’s what’s matters” “You’re right Jon. Even if my family hated you I would stay with you. And I love your mother as well, she was a sweet lady. I haven’t met your dad, but I think I would like him. And your sister, I like her to” Then they went to sleep.

“So when are you asking my daughter to marry you then? Before or after the baby is born?” Jon where with Jo’s father to pick up some fruit for Babs. “Oh I have though about it but I wanted to ask you first,” “Ask me what?” Dave knew what it was but he wanted Jon to say it “I wanted to ask for your blessing” Jon blushed “You’ll have it young man, as long as you promise to be nice to my daughter and my grandson or granddaughter” He patched Jon on his shoulder “You’ll just propose to her whenever you want to” Dave smiled and they drove home.

Jon went inside and noticed that Jo and Babs weren’t there… he took his hand in his pocket and took out a little box. “I love Jo and I want her to be my wife… but when is the right time to propose?” Jon thought. Then he took his mobile phone and called his mother. “Hi mum it’s Jon” “Oh hello my dear boy, where are you and how are you?” “I’m fine mum. I’m actually in Romford Essex. I’ve got something to tell you mum” “Oh I hope it’s good news then Jon. Shoot” Jon smiled and went on “You know my girlfriend, Jo the girl you said hi to?” “Yes, the young lovely girls, so she’s still your girlfriend. That’s nice” “Yes she is, we’ve been together for 3 months now. And I’m thinking about proposing to her mum. I love her to bits and she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me” Jon’s mum started to cry, “That’s the best news I’ve had in ages, my little boy’s getting married. You have my blessing” Then Jon started to cry as well “Thanks mum, it’s a grief to hear that you like her to, because she’s pregnant and she’s expecting our child in 8 months time” Then Jon’s mum got quiet for a little while, then Jon heard a happy scream “I’m going to be a grandma!!!!!!!! Oh my GOD!!!” Jon took the phone from his ear and laughed. Then he took the phone back to his ear again “Yes mum you’re going to be a grandmother” “That’s lovely Jon, I never thought that you where going to be a dad this soon. Please take Jo with you and come to dinner here Thursday at 3 o’clock” “I’ll do that mum. Please invite the whole family over then so they can meet her” “I’ll do that my boy. Now see you then, and behave and be a good boy while you’re in Romford. Bye love you” “I love you to mum, see ya” Jon hung up and now he could here some voices in the living room.

“Hi darlin’” Jo came in and gave him a hug “How’s your day so far?” “Oh fine, I’ve just hung up the phone, my mum says hi” “You’ve told her?” Jo smiled “Yes, and she invited us for dinner this Thursday, and you get to meet my family as well. If that’s OK with you” “Sure it’s, I would love to meet the rest of your family darlin” Jon kissed Jo and they went out in the garden. ”We where planning to have a bbq today. I hope you like the idea” Babs took her arm around Jon and looked at him “Yeah, sure it would be nice” Jon blushed. Finally he had the chance to propose to Jo, tonight when they had a bbq. “Good, the I’ll tell Dave to get the grill and Jo you help me cook and Jon help Dave please”

“Dave, is it the right time to propose today at the bbq?” Jon and Dave carried the grill out of the garage as Jon where asking. “Sure son, but ask her when you two are alone. I know my daughter will appreciate that” “Thanks Dave” “No problem Jon, any time”

Jo and her mum where in the kitchen cooking when Babs asked, “So Jo, do you really love Jon?” Jo stopped cutting the tomatoes and looked at her mum “Sure I do, I’d never ever met anyone like him, he’s the finest and most gentle guy I’ve ever been with. Why are you asking me this” Babs looked at Jo “I just want you to be happy Jo. I really like Jon to. He seems very nice and he’s got an education and a job. But I’m just making sure you know what your doing” Jo gave her mum a hug and whispered “Where would I be without you mum? I know what I’m doing and I know I’ve got you and dad, and Rachel” “You’re growing up so fast my little one, by the way how’s Rachel?” “She’s fine, she’s together with a boy named Jeremy who’s absolutely lovely. We four get a long pretty well. Jeremy’s moving out of his apartment and he’s taking my place when I’m moving in with Jon” “That’s a great idea, and I’m happy that Rachel got a boyfriend to”

Chapter 11

The whole family sat in Babs and Dave’s garden and ate and laughed. It was getting a bit late so Shane and Julie went home. “Bye, thanks for now Jon. Come back soon will ya, I can’t wait to be an aunt” Julie gave Jon a hug “I can’t wait to be an uncle” Shane went as well and now there where only Jo, Jon, Babs and Dave in the garden. Jon looked at Dave and gave him a sign to tell him “This is IT”. “Let’s leave the kids alone Babs, we’ll take the rest of the cleaning tomorrow. It’s late now” “You’re right Dave. You two can be alone for some time, you haven’t been since you got here!” Babs gave Jo a kiss on her cheek and went indoors with Dave.

“Is there something going on that I don’t know about?” as Babs and Dave came indoors Babs knew there where something going on. “Yes there’s. Jon’s going to ask Jo to marry him” “How romantic, and you knew about it?” Babs turned to Dave “yes I did, he asked me permission to propose to her” “He did, well it’s a really polite and nice boy that Jon” “Yes he is. Now let’s go and watch some TV or something. I’ll bet we’ll be hearing a happy scream from Jo soon” Dave and Babs went in to the living room.

“Jo, I’ve been trying to tell you this since we got here” Jon grabbed Jo’s hands and looked her in the eye “Is there something wrong?” “No not at all, but now please close your eyes and don’t open them until I tell you to” Jo closed her eyes and Jon went down on his knees. He took the box with the ring from his pocket. “Now open your eyes” As Jo opened her eyes she couldn’t believe what she saw, Jon on his knees. “Jo, I love you and it’s not because you’re having our baby. I’ve loved you since day one and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I know it’s a bit early for you to get married, but I’ll wait until you’re ready. But I’ll ask you anyway. Will you Joanne Valda O’Meara marry me and be my wife?” Jo went down on her knees and looked Jon in the eyes “Yes I do” then she started to cry and laugh “I do wanna be your wife Jon” Jon and Jo kissed passionate for a long time. “I have to tell mum and dad” She got on her feet again and dragged Jon with her. “MUM, DAD!!!”

“Congratulations to both of you” Jo showed her ring to her mum and she couldn’t stop smiling. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen Jo smile like that” Dave laughed, “I’m so happy” Jo held a good grip around her fiancé. “When will the wedding be?” Babs still looked at Jo’s ring “I don’t know, that’s up to Jo” Jon answered and kissed Jo on the cheek. “I don’t know. I mean I don’t know if I wanna get married before I have the baby or after. If it’s going to be before we need to get married soon, or I’ll never get my body in a wedding gown” Jo looked at her stomach “Well in my opinion it’s better to get married before the child comes in to this world. I mean it will be so much new with a baby and all” “So what you’re saying mum is that we have to get married straight away?” “No darling…” Babs laughed “I’m just heading a suggestion” “I actually want to get married straight away, well after we have planned it” Jo looked at Jon “I’m ready when you’re ready Jo, I mean I can’t say no I proposed” He blinked at Babs and Babs laughed.

“Hi Ratz I’m engaged!” Jo called Rachel to tell her the good news “Congratulations girl! I’m so happy for you. How are you?” “I’m fine. How are you and Jeremy then?” “We’re fine. I’ve never been happier Jo. I have the best friend in the whole wide world, I have a boyfriend who’s amazing and I even have a nice relationship with your fiancé!” “You’re the best friend I’ve ever had Rachel. And I’m actually calling you to ask you if you wanna be my bridesmaid?” “WOW, I’d be honoured!” “So you want to be my bridesmaid?” “Yes I will, I’m so happy that you’re asking me and not your sister” “Rachel, you’re the one that’s been there for me the last years and it would be cruel not to ask you. And besides I trust you with all my heart and I love you” “Thanks Jo. But not to be rude but I have to go. Jeremy and me are going to his parents for dinner. His mum is lovely” “Good luck and you’re not being rude. See ya love. Bye” “Bye”

“Tomorrow we’re heading home again” Jo and Jon where in Jo’s room ready for bed. “Yes we are, did you have a good time here?” “Yes I did. I’m still having a good time. Jo I was thinking, if we’re having the wedding before you having the baby, what about having the wedding in August? I mean then we’ll have one and a half month to plan it” “That’s not a bad idea Jon. Do you want to have a big wedding or a small one Jon?” “It doesn’t matter as long as you show up. And as long as my family and some of my friends can come. Have you asked Rachel to be your bridesmaid?” “Yes I have. Are you going to ask one of your friends or brother?” “I was thinking about asking Jeremy” Jo looked at Jon with big eyes “Jez?!” “Yeah, me and him has become good friends and I have so much fun together with you, Rachel and Jeremy. And since Rachel’s being your bridesmaid it will be fair that Jez becomes my best man” “Your so sweet Jon!” Jo kissed Jon and they went to bed.

“Good morning kids” Babs had made a huge breakfast and Jo and Jon sat by the table. “Mornin’ mum. This looks delicious” “Dig in Jo, you’re eating for two now!” Jo made herself a bacon sandwich and a glass of juice. “When are you two going back to London?” Dave had his mouth filled with scones as he asked “In an hour I think. We’re going to look at some churches and stuff” Jo took a bite of her sandwich “Churches?” Babs dropped her spoon on the floor. “Yes churches, me and Jon where thinking of a August wedding” “That would be wonderful. Big or small wedding?” Babs picked up her spoon from the floor “Family and friends I think” Jon agreed “Yes the nearest family and closest friends” “That’s nice. Please tell us and we’ll help you with money!” Dave laid down his food on the plate. “Thanks Dave, but I think I’ve got the money to handle it” “Well, if you’re getting short of money you know where to come”

“Bye, see you again soon” They all hugged and Jo and Jon went in Jon’s car, heading for London. “It’s been a nice time with my family” Jo laid back in the car seat and Jon drove off. “I know what we can do to make our car tour a bit shorter” Jon grabbed a notebook and pen that laid on the dashboard “Let’s make a list of the people we want to invite to out wedding” “That’s a great idea” Jo opened the book and started to write “Let’s start with your family then” Jon started to say a bunch of names and Jo wrote them down, aunts and uncles, sisters and brothers, mum and dad, cousins and friends “That’s all?” Jo stopped writing “all? Count them Jo and see how many they are” Jo started to count “45 people, that’s lots” “Yes I know but if I’m getting married I want all of them to come” “I see, so you do want a big wedding” “yes I do, Is that a problem?” “No Jon it’s not. ‘Cos I want a big wedding as well. Now shall I write down the people in my family then?” “Sure darlin’ you have to have your family in the wedding as well!” They both laughed and Jo started to write down the names of her guests “I got to 50 people Jon, is that too many?” Jon looked at Jo and nodded his head “Jo-Jo my sweet Jo-Jo what did I just tell you…?!” “Ok… I give up.. Well then we have 95 guests, almost a hundred” “You have included our friends as well?” “Yes I have” “Good. Chapter 12

The weeks came and went and now it was only one day before the big wedding. Jo’s stomach has grown a bit, but the wedding dress still fits her. Rachel’s with her to do the last preparations for the wedding.

“I can’t believe that it’s the big day tomorrow. I’ve dreamt of this my whole life” Jo hung her wedding dress in the closet. “I know. I’m so happy for you Jo-Jo, and I’m still very honoured that I’m your bridesmaid” “Well you’re the one I can trust my dear Rach, so you where the one I picked” “Thanks” The girls went in the living room and started to prepare the flower decorations for the groom, best man and bridesmaid. “These are beautiful, I love lilies” Rachel putted one in her hair and Jo laughed “Take that one then, you look good with it in your hair and we have plenty here to make the decorations. I’m so happy that we’re having the wedding at the London Hotel. I couldn’t have managed to make food for 95 guests” “I agree, the we would be standing here making food and not flower decorations”

Jo had moved in to Jon and Jeremy in to Rachel. But Jo’s wedding dress and the flowers where at Rachel and Jeremy’s. “I’m so glad that I can use your apartment for my stuff now. I would die if Jon saw my wedding dress before the big day” “No problem, I mean you used to live her as well. I mean I’m so glad that I’m the one that are keeping this apartment, no affiance but I couldn’t move in to Jeremy’s flat. It’s too small” “Hahaha, well I’m glad that Jon has a huge flat then. But it’s weird not living with you anymore and in this old good and cool apartment. I’ll come and visit you a lot” “I hope so, even though you’re getting married you can’t forget me!” Rachel smiled “I’ll never forget you and you’re not getting rid of me that easily”

“Ah, my last night here in the apartment and my last night as “single”” Jo lay down on Rachel’s coach. An old tradition that the groom shouldn’t see the bride 24hours before the wedding was something that Rachel and Jo took serious. So for this night Jo where at Rachel’s and Jeremy at Jon’s home. “Well, I have something to tell you Jo, but don’t tell Jez that I told you” “What is it then?” “He proposed to me, the day after Jon proposed to you. He’s going to tell you this news in the wedding tomorrow so please act surprised” Rachel laughed “My God, congratulations Rachel, I’m so happy for you. I promise to be surprised tomorrow” “Thanks. It was going to be a part of our wedding gift to you and Jon” “Thanks Rachel, and we don’t need a wedding gift from you, just that you and Jez are happy” “Ah, you’re such a romantic Jo”

“Wake up!” Rachel came in to Jo with a huge breakfast. “Morning! Have you made that for me?” “Yes I have. It’s the least I can do for you” Rachel putted the tray down on Jo’s pillow. “You’re such a sweetheart Rach” “I know” The girls ate breakfast and then the next stop where at the hairdresser. Jo and Rachel had be dressed up by professionals as the said.

“You’re the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen Jo” Jo where in her wedding dress, she was dressed up like a princess and ready to be wed. “You look like a queen Rachel. That dress looks so good on you” “I’m not the one that are taking compliments today Jo”. Rachel and Jo laughed for a while and then Babs came “Oh Jo darlin’ you look absolutely amazing” Babs looked at Jo with big eyes “My little angel is getting married” she started to cry “Don’t cry mum, please then I cry and my mascara will make my eyes black” “Oh I’m so sorry Jo…!”

Now Jo, Rachel and Dave stood outside the church. It was 5 minutes before wedding ceremony. “Are you nervous?” Dave held Jo’s hand “Yes I’m, mostly for mum, she’s crying her heart out soon” “haha, well she’s soft hearted Jo” “yeah I know” Jo hugged her dad. “I’m so proud of you princess. I hope everything turns out great for you and Jon and the little one to come” “thanks dad” Then the church bells started to ring and Jo, Dave and Rachel went inside. The church where decorated with flowers and it was full of guests. In front of the church where Jon. Jo had never seen him more handsome.

“My God are you Jo?” Jo reached the alter and met Jon. “Yes I’m, and you’re Jon I suppose,” she whispered back “You look amazing Jo” “Thanks, the same to you handsome”. Then the priest started to talk. Jo and Jon couldn’t keep their eyes from each other. Rachel and Jeremy had the same “problem”. Finally the last words from the priest “I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride” Jon gave Jo the best kiss ever and they stepped down from the alter. The rest of the guest in the church went out and met them with the church stairs. Flashes from people taking pictures of the happy couple and all smiling faces.

“Wow, this is huge” the guest included Jo and Jon reached the hotel where they where about to eat and have the party. “I know, it’s so beautiful. I think this must be the happiest day in my life” Jo kissed Jon and then they went to sit by the table. Jeremy and Rachel followed. “As the groom I’ll wish all of you welcome. I want to thank you for the nice presents you have brought us. That was no need. On the behalf of my beautiful wife I wish you all an amazing night” The guest clapped and Jon blushed. “Than was nice Jon” Jo putted her hand on his knee when Jon sat down.

Ding, ding. “I just want to say some words to my best friend in the whole wide world” Rachel stood up and took a little piece of paper out of her purse. “Dear Jo, you’ve been my best friend since we started school together. You’ve helped me through bad times and we’ve shared many good times together. Now you’ve found yourself a beautiful man who I know will take care of you and the little one that’s coming. I hope you don’t forget me and I’ll always be there for you no matter what. I love you Jo. And you’re such a good friend to Jeremy and me. And Jon, take good care of her” Rachel sat down again and Jo started to cry. She smiled to Rachel and Rachel smiled back. Then Jeremy stood up.

“I just want to say to both bride and groom, thanks for sticking up for me and thanks for being nice to me. Rachel and I have got so much support from you guys and we can’t thank you enough. A better couple than Jo and Jon can’t even I find. But I hope Rachel and I will be as happy as them. I proposed to Rachel and Rachel said yes. So Jon I’m asking you to be my best man, you’re my one and only true friend, except from Rachel and Jo” “Yes I’ll be your best man Jez and thanks for nice words” Jon smiled.

The dinner and dessert and speeches where through and the guest left the dining room and went in to the ballroom. Jon danced with Jo and Rachel with Jeremy. The guests seemed to have fun. “Can I have the bride now?” Jeremy and Rachel came up to Jon and Jo’s side. “Course you can, if I can borrow Rachel” Jon and Jeremy switched girls. “I haven’t said congratulations to you Rachel. Chapter 13

The days and months after the wedding went on. Jo where getting bigger and she and Jon took their trip to their second ultrasound. “I can’t wait to see our baby on the ultrasound” Jon smiled and placed his hand on Jo’s stomach “I’ll bet you’re exited. I’ve seen it before”.

“Mr and Mrs Lee” The midwife called them in. Jo and Jon held hands as they came in to the office “I’ll bet you two are exited to see how big your baby has become” “Yes we are, I have seen it before but it’s a long time ago. This is the second ultrasound. I didn’t see much on the first one” Jo laid down on a huge bench “Oh that’s usual. On the first ultrasound we just see if there is something there, we can see if it’s healthy if it moves. On this one we might find out more” The midwife started to feel Jo’s stomach and then the baby appeared on the screen. “Hm what have we here? I have to take a closer look” The midwife zoomed in the baby “Is there something wrong?” Now Jon woke up “No but I have some news for you. Are you ready?” “YES” Jo and Jon answered, “Ok, Jon, sit down please and Jo lay down again” Jo and Jon did as the midwife, said “You two are not having one baby, but two healthy babies” It became quit in the midwife’s office and Jo and Jon just started at her. “What… I mean how… I mean two… how?” Finally Jo found some words “Yes you’re having two babies. I know this is a shock, but as you see” The midwife pointed at the screen “There’s one baby here and one baby here” The midwife smiled “But why didn’t they tell Jo at the first ultrasound?” “That’s sometimes very hard to see, sometimes the other baby lays behind one baby. It’s hard to see when they’re so small. But now it’s better to see when it’s came so far in the pregnancy”

“Would you like to know the sex of the babies?” The midwife turned of the screen and Jo and Jon sat down in some chairs in front of the midwife’s desk. “Hm… I don’t know… do you want to know it Jon? I would you like to know if you want to know” Jo placed her hand on Jon’s knee. “Maybe it’s better to know so we can start buying baby stuff and paint the rooms. It’s fun when it’s a surprise, but I think we’d enough surprises already” “I agree with Jon”. ”Okay then, I can announce that you two are going to be parents to a healthy boy and a healthy girl” “One of each, that’s amazing” Jo nearly started to cry. “Cool then we can use both names also” “You have named them already” the excitement caught the midwife “Yes we have, the girl should be named Amanda and the boy Ruben” Jon smiled from ear to ear “Nice names. I have twins myself, but two girls, their names are Angela and Summer”

“Rachel, I have some pretty cool news to tell you” The first thing Jo did when she came home was to call Rachel “Bring it on” “Are you sitting down?” “Well… Now I am” “Ok, Jon and me are having twins, one girl and a boy” “WOW, I’m going to auntie Rachel to twins… how cool is that. Do you mean you have two babies in your stomach? Ok how stupid am I, off course there are two babies in there… I have to tell Jez hold on” Jo could hear Rachel telling Jeremy the news and she heard them both where happy “What does Jon say?” “Apart from being in shock he’s happy” “You two did it pretty well when you first made babies” Rachel laughed “Thank you Rachel. I’ll remember that one” “It was meant as a joke” “I know… that’s why I’ll remember it” Jo and Rachel started laughing for a while then they said goodbye. “Two babies, I can’t believe it” Jon strokes a tired Jo over her hair “I know. It’s pretty scary” Jo sat in Jon’s arms and cuddled. “We’re going to be great parents. I love you so much Jo” “I love you even more Jon. And we’re having perfect babies and I hope we’ll make it”

Two moths later Jo stood in the bathroom and Jon where in the nursery to put the blankets and pillows in the baby bed. Suddenly he heard a scream from the bathroom “JON!!! THE WATER JUST BROKE!!!” Jon runned in to the bathroom where he found Jo in a puddle of water. “Stay right where you are, I’m getting the car… Here’s the phone call your mum and Rachel” Jon ran out again and Jo called her mum “Hi mum, my water just broke and the babies are ready to face the daylight. Please tell Rachel to pack some clothes for me, the door is open when we leave and she has to lock it… she know where the keys are… mum hurry to the hospital I need you there!!” Jo where pretty stressed and Babs nearly didn’t get to say a word “I’ll do that hun… see ya” She hung up and now Jon where back. “Come on Jo honey, we need to hurry up”

They reached the hospital and the friendly midwife meat them. They got Jo in to a wheelchair. “PUSH” The doctor and midwife where ready to take the newborn twins and wash them “No I can’t push, my mother isn’t here yet. I need my mum!” “Take it easy Jo, she’ll be here soon. Shall I look for her?” Jon where holding Jo’s hand and he didn’t like to see Jo in pain when the contractions came “NO! I need you here with me Jon, you made this babies and you better be here when they see they daylight…!” “Ok, Ok, I’m not moving and inch”

“Here I am” Babs came in to Jo and she stood by Jon’s side and held Jo’s hand. Jon where pretty happy for that because Jo had squeezed his hand. “Now Jo, be a good girl and push” Jo did as the doctor said. “Come on girl push more” It took about an half an hour before the midwife and doctor could see the head “I can see the head now… come on Jon and see the first baby” Jon saw the whole séance when his son finally came out. The doctor took him as soon as hi came out washed him and gave him to Jon “Now the little girl is coming” Jon followed the other baby being born and he soon got her in his arms to.

“Oh My God I can’t believe it” Now Jo got both her babies in her arms. “We have made these two little tiny things” Jon kissed Jo. “They are wonderful, congratulations” The midwife came in with two baby blankets. “I believe you have some people outside waiting to see the two miracles” “Send them in” Jon said.

“Congratulations” In came the whole family, Jo’s mum and dad, Jon’s mum and dad, brothers and sisters and Rachel and Jeremy. “Can I hold one” Cassie smiled and looked at Jo “Oh take both” Jo laughed. “I’m an aunt to the most perfect babies” Cassie said when she got them in her arms. “Can I hold them as well?” Julie, Jo’s sister got the babies from Cassie “I agree with you, they are perfect” The smiling faces of the new aunts and uncles and grandparents lightened up the room. Each and everyone got to hold Ruben and Amanda. After a while they al went home. Jon and Jo where in the hospital covered in teddy bears and balloons. The twins where a sleep.

“Thank you Jon, for bringing me two wonderful babies, and thank you for everything” Jo kissed him tenderly “Well hun, you’re the one who’s carried them around for nine months. I think it will be less sleeping and less time to each other the first months. But still I love you and you’re the most beautiful mum in the whole wide world” “Thanks Jon, you’re the most handsome dad in the whole wide world” Then they kissed passionately for a long time.
