Just The Two Of Us

In February 2006 she took part in the BBC gameshow Just the Two of Us. Her singing partner was Chris Fountain, an actor in Hollyoaks. There were rumours of them being together but they neither confirmed nor denied them. The pair came third in the competition.

Pairing celebrities with internationally renowned singers, eight couples will compete in a duet-singing showdown complete with live band, a panel of judges and viewer voting to see who will be crowned Just the Two of Us champions.

Hosting the event will be the UK's most glamorous presenting couple – Vernon Kay and Tess Daly.

Each night the competing couples (of singer and celebrity) will have to sing in a variety of styles including country and western, musical, swing, rock ballad, pop and soul.

They will be judged by a panel of industry experts and then viewers will have the chance to vote for their favourite.

Style Jo thinks she is most known for singing pop songs but says that a lot of people have told her she has a "great belting voice perfect for ballads".
Perfect partner: Jo would love to be paired with someone like Sid Owen, Shane Richie or Nigel Harman. "I really want someone who is up for a laugh; a cheeky-chappy from the East End would be great!"
Musical influences: Jo is inspired by singers like Karen Carpenter, Eva Cassidy and Katie Melua, and loves the classic songs of Motown. More recently she enjoys listening to Limp Bizkit, The Streets and The Kaiser Chiefs.
On taking part: Jo says she's taking part in Just The Two Of Us "for the craic". She doesn't know what to expect but says she is extremely nervous as she is stepping into the unknown.
In it to win it: "I'm not generally a competitive person because I've always been in a group environment and so never had to prove myself. I reckon if someone is doing better than me and sings better than I do on the night, the competitive streak might come out in me!"

Chris bio on the site:
Profession: Actor
Partner: Jo O'Meara
Career Highs: Playing Gavroche in Les Miserables Touring as the Artful Dodger in Oliver! TV Roles in A&E, Bob and Rose, Where the Heart Is and The Royal Landing the role of Justin Burton in Hollyoaks in 2003
Favourite Style of Music: Chris grew up listening to Michael Jackson and has since become a massive fan of Justin Timberlake. He recently saw Justin in concert and was inspired by his dance moves. 'He does my kind of dancing' Chris says. Vocally, he aspires to sing like Stevie Wonder or Jack Johnson.
On Performing: In his early career Chris was part of a boy band called Naughty, touring the pubs and clubs of Manchester. As well as singing, Chris is a talented drummer and he also enjoys teaching himself guitar. In fact, Chris says, "I can pretty much get a tune out of any instrument… except the violin."
On taking part: He enjoyed watching Soapstar Superstar recently and thought to himself, "Yeah I could do that!" Shortly after he got a call from his agent asking if he'd like to do Just The Two Of Us and he jumped at the chance to show the nation he can sing.
The Two of Us: Chris' ideal partner would have to be 'cool, preferably a Hip Hop, R&B or Soul singer'. He wants his partner to be able to push him; he doesn't want an easy ride! He wants to learn as much as he can and hopefully win the competition.
