Jo's GMTV interview
----- January 31st 2007
Jo O'Meara broke down on national TV today, claiming her life is in tatters after she was portrayed as a racist bully on Celebrity Big Brother.
The former S-Club singer told GMTV's Fiona Phillips that her behaviour towards Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty had been taken out of context and she doesn't believe she is a bully.
'I feel that Big Brother had a TV show to make and they have to do what they can to make good viewing and unfortunately I was a guinea pig,' she said.
'I don't think I bullied Shilpa, I really don't. Everybody makes mistakes but just not everybody does it on TV.'
Jo, 27 - who has unsuccessfully tried to launch a solo career - said she only took part in Celebrity Big Brother because her house was under threat of repossession and she needed the cash.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of York has weighed into the Celebrity Big Brother debate by declaring her support for Jo.
A spokeswoman for the Duchess phoned GMTV after seeing Jo interviewed on the show - saying she felt sympathy for her because she 'knows what it is like to be vilified'.

Jermaine offers song to Jo
----- January 31st 2007
Jermaine Jackson has offered to give Jo O'Meara a helping hand after her bullying display in Celebrity Big Brother.
The Jackson Five legend has urged the former S Club 7 star to shake off her "shackles" and concentrate on her music career following her bust up with winner Shilpa Shetty.
He said: "I think that Jo is a very, very wonderful talent and there's a bit of confusion that's trapped inside of her. She needs to step out of her shell. She's young, she's beautiful, she looks great on camera. She can sing.
"I was most impressed by Jo because of her musical talent. But she needs to take off those shackles, those handcuffs.
"I told her that I have a song that I wanted to present to her. I'm going to do it."

Jo's agent died
----- January 30th 2007
Big Brother contestant Jo O'Meara is said to be distraught after her agent died on Sunday following a heart attack.
Tony Fox, 55, died two days after the 27-year-old former S Club 7 singer was evicted.
'Tony was fine on Saturday and spent most of the day with Jo. But then he collapsed and died yesterday,' an insider told the Daily Mirror.
'Jo is devastated – she trusted him implicitly. Tony dealt with all the flak while Jo was in the house and she is terrified that is what caused his heart attack.'
Jo is currently in a safe house after she received death threats following the Big Brother race row.

Jo says she's no racist
----- January 28th 2007
I've collected some quotes by Jo:
“I’m not a racist person at all. My cousin is married to an Indian man.” “It does look really bad . . . it looks absolutely terrible.”
“I didn’t mean it in that way. I’m not a racist person at all.” “I’m not going to deny Shilpa did aggravate me a lot. You can’t click with everyone.
“It wasn’t a personal attack on her. I didn’t even know I was doing it.
“I didn’t dislike Shilpa, I just wasn’t as close to her as I was to Danielle or Cleo.
“I felt she had a big mask on or a big guard up.”

To the people who abuse Jo
----- January 24th 2007
You, who keep abusing Jo in the tag board, this is for you. You have called her a bully, racist, cow, bitch etc. and much worse.
Isn't that pretty much what you are blaiming her to do? If your excuse for your inapproriate and childish behaviour is that you're just
defending Shilpa, that's not true. You haven't said a single thing to defend her, hardly even mentioned her name.
You are very much bullys yourselves. Besides, isn't it pathetic to visit a Jo FAN site everyday? Anyway, I'm don't
support racists or bullys but Jo, who is not neither of them. So leave Jo and my tag board alone.

'H' asks Jo to have his babies
----- January 23rd 2007
'Celebrity Big Brother' housemate Ian 'H' Watkins has asked Jo O'Meara to have his babies.
The ex-Steps singer - who came out as gay to Britain's The Sun newspaper the day before entering the house - wants to be a dad and asked the former S Club 7 singer if she would help him out.
Ian said: "I want to be a dad. Shall we have babies?"
Jo looked confused, and when Ian repeated his request she knocked him back, saying: "Not if it comes out with hair like that!"

Jo could lose her home
----- January 23rd 2007
STRUGGLING Celebrity Big Brother witch Jo O’Meara has revealed that she only agreed to appear on the show to stop her house being repossessed.
The former S Club 7 singer told pals in the house that her decision to become a housemate was not to salvage her career or to score a record deal.
In fact, the 27-year-old is penniless and needs the fee because she is so broke.
Talking about her £450,000 house near Romford in Essex, she said: “This will give me a glimmer of hope to keep it.
“I did not come in here to try to get a record deal.
“I want to be a mum and a wife with a house and my dogs.
“I know I’ve had opportunities which probably I should have took – but I said no for a reason.”
Motown legend Jermaine Jackson even offered to write a song for Jo – but she doesn’t know if she wants to sing it.
Cleo Rocos told Jo about the late Kenny Everett in an effort to help her make her mind up.
She said: “Kenny used to tell me, ‘One of the biggest crimes in life is to have talent and not to use it’.”
But Jo replied: “I’ve lived that life and it didn’t make me happy. I don’t like the way you have to get your boobs out.
“I don’t want the fame thing and the image – I’d rather just sing in bars.”
But we can also reveal that there is more bad news on the way for Jo – and she may not be able to earn a crust in bars or anywhere else in Britain.
Pals fear that being caught up in the CBB race row has put people off wanting to book her to appear at their venues.
The blonde, who mocked Shilpa and said people in India were “skinny because they couldn’t cook properly”, is unaware that a date at London’s world famous G-A-Y club night is already under threat.
She is due to play an intimate gig at G-A-Y shortly after she leaves the house but promoters have received complaints about supporting her and they are now conducting a poll to see if fans want her to sing or not on February 3.
A source said: “People have been calling G-A-Y and are angry Jo is going to perform and be paid after her comments and bullying towards Shilpa.
"So now the idea is that Jo will only get to sing – and get paid – if she wins the CBB vote.
“Promoters up and down the land may be having the same thoughts about Jo because of the problems.
“And the cash she makes from the show may not be enough, on its own, to save her house.”

Jo's family shocked
----- January 20th 2007
Jo O’Meara’s family have revealed their shock at her behaviour in the CBB house saying it is not in her usual character.
Her sister Julie appeared on GMTV this morning to defend the former S Club 7 singer who has been embroiled in the racism row.
She said: "We're all shocked. It's just not her character at all. She's just not like that. At home she's very down to earth; she's a very timid little girl."
And she added that Jo had only go on the show for the money but says that she has chosen the wrong side in the arguments.
She said: "Jo was really nervous about going in there because of Jade. And she's gone with that - rather than be on the victim's side, she's gone with the bullying, which is not right."

Bradley defends Jo
----- January 18th 2007
Former S Club star Bradley McIntosh has defended his ex-bandmate Jo O'Meara in the Big Brother race row, claiming "she's not racist".
Pop star Jo is one of the housemates involved in the alleged racist bullying of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty.
But Bradley told BBC Radio Five Live he had known Jo for more than seven years, and was "surprised" she had become caught up in the row.
He said: "I'm kind of disappointed in Jo. The whole thing seems to be dragging on and I know she's better than that.
"If she's got a problem with someone or if there's any kind of issue then she'd normally confront the person, sort out the problem straight away and move on."
He added he knew she was not ignorant, but he had been surprised at some of the things said.
"Some of the things she's said I've just thought 'Oh my God, what have you said that for?'," he said.
Bradley also said he would be shocked if she had been bullying a fellow housemate as she had suffered from the same problem during her school days - and it had almost caused her to take her own life.
He said: "If it's bullying, that surprises me as well because Jo went through bullying when she was young. When she was in school, she was bullied and it affected her quite dramatically, to the point she almost took her own life."

Jo had a panic attact
----- January 17th 2007
Jo suffers from panic attacts and had one in CBB house. When she was asked what caused the attact, she answered:
"Stress... and homesickness which I'm suffering a lot from just now". Poor Jo, I hope you'll be fine!

Racism complaints over Big Brother
----- January 17th 2007
Shilpa Shetty is finding it tough in the CBB house
Media watchdog Ofcom has received thousands of complaints about alleged racism in Celebrity Big Brother.
Viewers believe Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is being targeted by housemates Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Meara because she is Indian.
Jade Goody's mother, Jackiey, repeatedly referred to Shilpa as "the Indian" while she was on the show and refused to pronounce her name.
Over the weekend, former beauty queen Danielle Lloyd and ex-S Club 7 star Jo O'Meara poked fun at Shilpa's accent.
Big Brother fans have been debating the racism question on websites.
An Ofcom spokeswoman said: "We have had approximately 200 complaints of racism. Quite a lot of websites have been discussing the issue and urging people to get in contact with us. We will look into each individual complaint."
Jade, Danielle and Jo have ganged up on Shilpa in recent days.
When Shilpa tried to console Danielle after Carole Malone's eviction on Friday night, the girls were unimpressed.
On Sunday night Shilpa ended up in floods of tears. She made a roast chicken for the group - only for Jo to refuse it. "I don't trust that chicken. I want to eat it but I'm scared," Jo complained, claiming it was undercooked and too spicy.
Shilpa emerged from the bedroom hiding her eyes behind dark glasses. She put on a brave face, insisting: "This will make me into a stronger person."

Jo is Primark fan
----- January 16th 2007
Big Brother's Jo O'Meara is a closet Primark fan.
And the 27-year-old S Club 7 star isn't afraid of airing her bargains on national TV.
'Jo is Primark's best customer,' Carole Malone, who was booted out on Friday night, told the Sunday Mirror. 'She bought everything she brought into the house for less than £100. And she's proud of it.
'She is one of the only people in the house without an agenda. What you see is what you get. She's decent and earthy and funny and all she wants to do is run an animal sanctuary.'
It's okay, Carole - you've convinced us. Any friend of Primark is a friend of ours.

Singing in your sleep
----- January 14th 2007
After an exhausting day of band practice, performing and then partying, the housemates decided to have an early night. But the party was still going!
Jermaine was the first to hit the sack, swiftly followed by a sleepy Dirk. After lounging around and chatting, the rest of the housemates decided to get an early one too, and took themselves off to bed.
With the rounds of 'goodnight' done, silence fell on the Big Brother House. But no sooner had their heads hit the pillow than Big Brother blasted out another Jackson 5 party song. Soon, the vocals of a young Michael Jackson filled the air as the classic 'I'll Be There' began to play.
After a unanimous 'Aww!' Jade shouted from her bed: "I love this song! Let's just listen!"
All of the housemates started to happily sing along and sway in their beds - Danielle and Jo held hands as they sang, a shattered Dirk half sat up and arm danced, even Jermaine rose from his pit on the floor. Then Danielle was up, dancing and moonwalking in the middle of the bedroom, before joining the rest of the girls and Ian on the double bed for a group hug.

Battle of bands
----- January 14th 2007
The Big Brother housemates were pitted against each other today in a battle of the bands which will see them recreate songs by Steps and the Jackson Five.
Both tribute acts are being led by former members of the original groups, Ian “H” Watkins and Jermaine Jackson, who had to pick their fellow bandmates.
Ian cannily chose Jo O’Meara, formerly of pop group S Club 7, as well as Jade and her boyfriend Jack, to join him in singing one of his old band’s hits, Deeper Shade of Blue.
Jermaine and his group, made up of Shilpa, Danielle, Dirk and Cleo, were given the Jackson Five classic I Want U Back to perform.
They are only able to listen to the full version of their song once and practise their dance routine to a backing track three times before performing later today.
Each group’s leader was told they had to capture the “look, sound and feel” of their band and motivate the others to give the performance of their lives.

CBB Betting Odds
----- January 13th 2007
Jo O'Meara - When Celebrity Big Brother began, we were certain that Jo O'Meara had somehow absorbed the spirit of
dear old dead Pauline Fowler into her body. She'd complain about everything; the way her last album failed, the
way that she was breeding dogs for a living, the way that she was being forced to share a house with a journalist -
but we might be over the worst now. Now instead of out-and-out complaining, Jo's Celebrity Big Brother experience
seems to be comprised of a constant low-level grumbling and a slight regret that S Club 7 aren't still together.
All this means that Jo O'Meara isn't the favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother that she once was by any means,
which means that the S Club 7 reunion will never happen, which means we'll never get to see lovely Tina on our
TV again. Damn you for your excessive misery, Jo! Current Celebrity Big Brother betting odds - 14/1

The morning after
----- January 11th 2007
Girly chats? We got plenty of 'em.
And when you've got the unholy trinity of Jade, Jo and Danielle cuddled up in the double bed together,
a mess of bed-heads and pyjamas, you just know the topic of morning gossip is boys, boys, boys.
Or in the case of this morning's chinwag, Jade's boy, boy, boy.
Under cover of duvet last night, Jade and Jack were pretty active. We wouldn't want to confirm what
went on between the happy couple. But we wouldn't want to deny it either. Unlike Jade.
"Jack tried to have sex with me last night," she confessed to her chums as Jo and Danielle let
out the pre-requisite squeaks and giggles. "So I jumped in here with you."
"Did he?!" asked Jo. "Was he trying to put things in your back?"
"He tried to put it in my ear," laughed Jade.
"He should go to the shower, poor boy," joined in Danielle, and the three collapsed into more
three-fold giggling.
By this stage, Jack's burning ears pricked up. He gave the three a cursory glance. We've no idea
what he was thinking, but we imagine 'those three' and 'bad news' might have come into it somewhere.
"Jack's frustrations are setting in," said Jo.
"I thought, if I turn round and face him it looks worse," continued Jade. "So I turned around and
spooned him and thought 'no'."
Yeah right. You can't hide your midnight rustlings from us, Jade.

Leo - Ladies man
----- January 11th 2007
Leo's got a real way with the ladies in the House.
His constant jabbering, odd strops and potty mouth have endeared him to them like none of the other blokes. But maybe not in the way he'd like.
"I really like Leo," began Jo, the 'but' hanging heavy in the air. "But when he walks towards me I find myself walking the other way."
"I find with Leo he shouts you down and makes you listen. And I want to listen if I'm interested. I don't want to be forced," continued Jo.

Jo wants Bradley in the house
----- January 10th 2007
Two celebrities have walked and speculation in the House is rife about possible new housemates.
Now Jo is excited that it might be another S Clubber.
With Jade, Jo, Danielle, Carole, and Cleo slumped on the cushions in the lounge, their girlie
natter turned to crazy dreams that they've had in the House.
"I swear on my life!" Jo blurted out, suddenly becoming very animated. "I was in there and I
had a dream that [S Club bandmate] Bradley walked through those doors!"
"And you've had an itchy nose!" Cleo quickly reminded her.
We're not sure of the significance, but Jo obviously was, as she excitedly continued: "Yeah,
and I've had an itchy nose! And I dreamed that Bradley walked through those doors! And I woke
up and thought... 'I would love to have him in here!'"

Celebrity Big Brother Betting Odds
----- January 10th 2007
Jo O'Meara - Back on Wednesday Jo O'Meara was the favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother,
but things have quickly headed southwards for her. It's hard to put a finger on the exact
reason why people have started to go off Jo O'Meara, but we sense that it's got something
to do with her being a sour-faced complainy old hag all the sodding time. Jo threw a wobbly
when she realised that Carol Malone was a journalist, then another one when she thought she
had to share a bed with Donny Tourette, then another one when an S Club 7 song was played
inside the house. We wouldn't be too upset if Jo O'Meara got the boot from Celebrity Big
Brother; partly because all she does is grouch, and partly because every second Jo remains
on Celebrity Big Brother is a second when we're reminded of those topless pictures of her
that made us want to blind ourselves with gravel.
Current Celebrity Big Brother betting odds - 8/1

Celebrity Big Brother Betting Odds
----- January 9th 2007
Jo O'Meara - Jo O'Meara's got this whole Celebrity Big Brother thing sussed already, we think.
Former members of cheesy pop groups always do well at this kind of thing, and - whether it's intentional
or not - Jo's constant "Ooh, I'm so scared" schick can only help her win the public over. However,
Jo O'Meara's Celebrity Big Brother VT interview proved that she can be a right moany old pissbag,
so she'll have to keep that in check if she doesn't want to remind everyone that they all preferred
Tina anyway. Current Celebrity Big Brother betting odds - 33/1

Jo 'cracks' under task pressure
----- January 9th 2007
Jo O'Meara finally let the gruelling Manor task get to her when she burst into tears this lunchtime.
The kitchen hand went with cook Cleo to Nowhere for some fresh air and a tearful Jo admitted she had "cracked".
"I feel like everyone behind the scenes is like... 'gotcha'," she said.
"I'm so tired. I thought the tasks were like a day. I didn't think it was going to be this. I've had my moment now... it's fine. They won. They broke me in."
With a good cry over, Jo and Cleo joined Shilpa and Ian in the bedroom, where talk turned to fellow servant Leo.
"Leo thinks they're after him," said Cleo.
"He shouts at the cameras and swears at them. They're not after him though, it's just the way it is."
"He's been rebellious," said Jo. "He's ripping phones out of walls."
But not everyone is unhappy with the task.
Housekeeper Dirk was told by Big Brother to "pot up and paint the Big Brother Manor's coat of arms", this morning, which kept him busy - and smiling.
Head butler Carole walked into the garden to give the actor his instructions, including not allowing anyone else to help.
"That'll keep you going. That's quite a nice job really," Carole told him.
Dirk admirably set about potting and painting on his hands and knees, after getting pots of red and yellow fake pansies from the storeroom.
"I'm potting up," he told himself. "That's cool."

Jo woman, Jo cry
----- January 8th 2007
There ain't no mood like an S-Club mood...
There haven't been too many fights in the House yet... but there's been plenty of moping about.
Most of the housemates have cried at some point, and Jo is the latest to pick up the blubbering baton and run with it. The task has been getting her down, but it took the threat of being told a joke by Jackiey to push her over the edge.
"I only know one joke," announced the 48-year-old. "Jade told me it when she came home from school when she was 11, it was rude and..."
But the gag was interrupted by loud sobbing at the kitchen table, emanating from dejected popster Jo. Cleo quickly whisked her off to the garden for some girly TLC, leaving Jackiey without an audience.
"I'm so angry because they're winning," snivelled Jo.
Cleo tried to console her saying: "When we cry we feel ashamed of ourselves and we go psycho, that's when the good things start." That's, erm, some good advice there, Cleo.
"I really didn't want to cry," cried Jo. "All my family will be expecting me to break, I nearly went a whole week without crying."
"You've been the strongest of anyone," gushed Cleo.
"I need sugar, I feel like a robot," complained Jo. "I thought the tasks only went on for a day!"
Cleo agreed: "Yeah the tasks I've seen on TV before looked fun - there were people riding bikes and plucking chickens."
Now we know Cleo finds plucking chickens 'fun', we're sure Big Brother will have some equally entertaining things planned.

Jo in People...
----- January 8th 2007
THESE sensational pictures show CBB's Jo O'Meara as you've never seen her before.
The former S Club 7 singer stripped off for an explicit photoshoot with her lover on a steamy holiday.
In the shots curvy Jo, 27, lays back while Paul Hawkins snaps her boobs, prances around in tiny knickers and takes a cheeky snap of his manhood.
Last night a pal said: "Jo is very comfortable with her body because she knows she looks great.
"Her and Paul were always at it like rabbits - and when they stopped they took dirty pictures of each other. They loved it.
"She was pretty wild. I wouldn't be surprised if she strips off on Big Brother. She will definitely get her boobs out."
Jo posed for the shots on Spain's Costa del Sol when she was just 20 - before wholesome S Club became famous with hits like Don't Stop Movin'.
She met millionaire's son Paul in her hometown of Romford, Essex.
And the friend said: "They were madly in love. On holiday they spent most of the time in their room - that's how they ended up taking saucy photos of each other."
Jo, whose bandmates included Rachel Stevens, left Paul after three years for a string of other men.
She has talked openly about sex in the past - and confessed the strangest place she's romped was "a field in Essex, surrounded by cows".

Jo races into the lead
----- January 7th 2007
After just one night in the house, Jo O'Meara has made a miraculous run in the betting from bottom of the pile to become bookies' favourite to win the show.
The down-to-earth blonde from Essex entered the house to huge cheers from the crowd and is now tipped 5/1 to win Celebrity Big Brother alongside fellow singer Leo Sayer.
Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg, said: "Leo and Jo are top of the charts, but we're still eagerly awaiting other arrivals."
Jo, 27, is the former lead singer of S Club 7, but now breeds dogs for a living.
Meanwhile 'Faceman' Dirk Benedict slipped down to third place with joint odds of 6/1 along with Ian 'H' Watkins from Steps.
And tabloid journalist Carole Malone might regret being so opinionated in her Sunday Mirror column, as she dropped to bottom of the betting with odds of 25/1, after Jermaine Jackson and Danielle Lloyd who were joint on 20/1.

Jo wasn't pleased with Reach
----- January 6th 2007
Jo O’Meara threw the first Celebrity Big Brother wobbler last night when one of S Club 7’s songs was played to the housemates.
Jo wasn’t impressed at all as the others got up and danced and encouraged her to sing along to ‘Reach For The Stars’.
She stomped off into another room and shouted at Ian ‘H’ Watkins.
When the music had stopped she continued her huff saying to Big Brother: "I don't know what you've done that for."
Someone’s obviously embarrassed by their past!
